Everyone, is your home English journey progressing smoothly?
"Will they really acquire English if I keep doing this?"
"I see other kids on social media speaking more and more, and I feel anxious..."
"English is important, but I want to spend more peaceful time with my child."

Have you ever felt that way?

When people talk about home English,

"Becoming able to speak English"
"Improving English proficiency"

are the results people tend to focus on. Of course, those are wonderful things too.

But actually, the biggest value I feel from continuing home English
is not the English proficiency itself.

It is

・Making parenting more enjoyable for moms and making daily life with children more peaceful
・Deepening parent-child communication and increasing the time spent smiling

This is the most important thing to me.

Parenting doesn't always go as planned

When you are raising children, not every day goes as planned.
Even when you are rushing to get ready in the morning, tantrums can start,
or they might get in a bad mood over the smallest thing...

"Why are you so angry?"
"Why don't you understand?"

There are days when you worry about things like that, aren't there?
I have experienced this many times myself while raising four children.
That is exactly why I think this way.
It's not just English skills that I want them to acquire while they are young.

Skills to nurture while children are young

Through home English, children gradually nurture:

・Listening skills
・Understanding skills
・Thinking skills
・Expression skills
・The ability to feel others' emotions

Reading English picture books,
watching videos, and enjoying conversations as a parent and child.
Through the accumulation of such days, a child's world expands rapidly.

And before you know it, they may become able to listen more calmly than before,
or become able to express their feelings in words.
Of course, there are individual differences.

I believe this is the great appeal of home English.
English proficiency can be acquired later on.
But there are skills that can only be nurtured because they are young.
There are experiences that can only be gained during the time spent together as parent and child.

And that experience becomes a greater asset than English itself.

What is the true purpose of my home English?

🌺 For moms to feel confident in their parenting
🌺 For moms to truly enjoy their time with their children
🌺 For parents and children to increase their time spent smiling together
🌺 For building up days where you can say, "We had fun today, too"

That is what home English is for♡

Two things I want you to do first for that purpose

~Time to observe your precious child~

For example, my four children are all full of personality.
The picture books they like and the games they play are all completely different.
Just by observing your child closely and choosing what suits them, their reactions
will change and the way they grow will change too.
Even with a baby who cannot talk yet, there is so much you can understand by observing.

"What kind of things is this child interested in?"
When you look at them with that perspective, new discoveries will keep increasing.

~Special time spent one-on-one~

When choosing videos or picture books, don't you sometimes end up
adjusting to the older or younger child? That is exactly why you should be conscious
and decide, "Today is this child's day." Even 30 minutes is fine.

Try creating time to face only that child. Picture books, the park, or even
cooking is fine. The time they can have you all to themselves becomes a special treasure for a child.
And you can do that in English.
