Accept the gift that is this baton.
I've decided to participate in the "Baton Relay Project" unfolding on note as a pinch hitter for Yoshimaru-san.

At first, I froze for a second wondering if I should accept. What's karaoke? Who is Mieharu? Like that.
But, if I can share the songs I usually enjoy by myself with someone else.
The moment I thought that, I immediately said yes~🙌
I've firmly accepted the baton!
Since the theme of the project seems to be a late summer version, I think I'll choose songs that feel somewhat summery, even if they aren't summer songs♪
If they turn out to be winter songs, sorry about that.
▼Here are the organizers, Mieharu-san and Chainner (the connector).▼
Well then, let the introductions begin!
#1 Seishun Sick / Fujii Kaze
When I first heard Fujii Kaze-san on the radio, I went "Huh?" "Huh?" I immediately searched for him, started watching YouTube, and fell into the swamp. So this is what it means to fall into a swamp.
This song is nostalgic, bittersweet, and makes me feel something I can't quite put into words. It is youth itself.
Just last week, my daughter said "I want to go to karaoke," so I participated in some "National Karaoke Scoring Grand Prix" thing!
I sang Kaze-san's song "Matsuri."
Out of however many people nationwide, I came in dead last!!
It was too difficult and I couldn't sing it at all, so I guess it couldn't be helped lol
I can't sing it well, but I sang it all the way to the end♪
#2 Blue Sky / THE BLUE HEARTS (Covered by Micro From Def Tech)
Among all the Blue Hearts songs, this is one I especially love!
There are a few versions of "Blue Sky" covered by Micro from Def Tech if you search on YouTube, but this live version is my absolute favorite♪
Contrary to the lyrics, Micro's "Blue Sky" is incredibly soothing.
#3 Super Ball / TOMOO
Anyway, the lyrics are just amazing!
I love the song and the voice too, but I really want you to try reading the lyrics.
Dance while looking down
The rainbow colors leaping from your chest
The reason why you still feel a thrill
Don't silence your "likes"
Dance while still being afraid
The rainbow colors I want to show you
You don't need to "stick out your spear or your horns"
Just keep going as you are, round and whole
I mean, really! A genius!
I don't have any sharp, unique traits either, so maybe I'll just keep going as I am, round and whole.
I'm a scaredy-cat and shy, but I want to keep doing what I love even if I'm looking down.
I wonder if I can bring out my own rainbow colors.
#4 Merry-Go-Round of Life (Howl's Moving Castle) / Joe Hisaishi (Piano by Cateen)
It's filmed on a boat, and with the night view and camera work, it really looks like a merry-go-round!
There are many other songs by Joe Hisaishi that I love.
I could listen to Sumino-san's (Cateen) piano forever. How does he create a world view even before he starts playing the piano? I just wonder.
#5 Spirits of the Sea / Kenshi Yonezu
The 5th song introduction, a song that doesn't even need me to introduce it.
Every once in a while, I get an irresistible urge to listen to it!
The way the visuals and music swell up all at once and layer over each other is captivating. I get goosebumps the moment they overlap.
It's just art!
I was asked suddenly to participate in this baton relay project as a pinch hitter, but oh, it was fun♪
Since I heard I was the anchor, I'm declaring myself the "anchor" without passing the baton to anyone else!
Yoshimaru-san, who invited me.
Mieharu-san and Chainner (the connector), thank you for such a fun project.
