How many Guinness World Records does BTS have?
The titles often associated with our Bangtan are "First in K-Pop," "First in Korea," and "First in the world."
I hear that they hold many world records, but I don't know the exact details. It's a good problem to have, but there are so many of these topics that I can't tell which is which (*ﾉωﾉ)
For now, I decided to search for them because I wanted to know at least what kind of major Guinness World Records they have. When you think of world records, you think of Guinness, right!
Guinness World Records held by BTS as of 2021
BTS had 23 Guinness World Records as of 2021, and in recognition of this, they were inducted into the Hall of Fame in "Guinness World Records 2022."
It's confusing because the thumbnail is the same, but this one is Billboard news.

What records does BTS currently hold?
So, what is the situation now in 2025?
I'm sure some records have been updated, and I'm curious if there are more records beyond the 23 mentioned above, or if nothing happened during their solo activity period! ( *´艸｀)

I have also collected the records of the members that have appeared. Currently, the ones found in Guinness are the three members of the maknae line (Jimin, V, and Jungkook).
By the way, Jungkook is listed as the only Asian solo artist in the music category of "Guinness World Records 2025." Congratulations!

Guinness Trivia
Guinness records are applied for by the individuals themselves. In the case of BTS, it is generally assumed that their agency applies for them. The registration process is as follows:
・Find the title you want to challenge
・If you can't find it, apply and undergo a Guinness review (up to 3 months)
・Challenge it and submit the necessary evidence (photos, videos, witness testimony, etc.)
・Guinness reviews the evidence and certifies it

What these records mean
These numerous records don't just show the popularity of Bangtan (BTS), but can be said to have made the music genre of K-pop and culture originating from South Korea known to the world, raising its international status.
Their achievements have been recognized by the South Korean government through the awarding of the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit and their appointments as cultural envoys and Busan World Expo ambassadors, which I believe has led to their speeches at the UN and the White House.
