BTS [Suchwita] EP.1 SUGA x RM (Namjoon) [슈취타]
Suchwita! Suchwita!
Among the playlists on the BANGTANTV channel, which is full of divine content, SUGA's talk show "Suchwita" (슈취타) is likely competing for the top spot in popularity.
I have created a supplementary playlist featuring only the episodes with BTS members, so please feel free to check it out!
Extracted only the episodes with SUGA and BTS members from the "🍸슈취타 | 슈가와 취하는 타임" playlist on BANGTANTV.
Added three short videos from Ep. 14 and the teaser for Ep. 15, which were not included in the BANGTANTV playlist.
This time, I will be sharing the episode featuring Namjoon.
You have to start with the first one, right!
EP.1 SUGA x Namjoon
The guest for the memorable first episode is Namjoon, who just released his solo album "Indigo". He looks so young in a hoodie, almost no makeup, and short black hair!
Standing next to SUGA, whose long, wavy black hair looks great against his pale skin, the age gap feels even more apparent than usual.
I was watching with bated breath, wondering what the two giants who support BTS's music through songwriting would talk about while sharing a drink, but they barely finished their greetings before this statement was made.

I've written about this in another article before, but why does our leader have such an affinity for "Nakayoshi"-style girls' anime?
It's a real mystery, but is it because of his younger sister?
Favorite Japanese Anime
RM: "Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch"

SUGA brushes everything off with an "Okay" and moves on. Even in the first episode, you can feel the presence of a veteran MC. He didn't spend years managing the chaotic BTS for nothing lol

He thought he chose a low-alcohol drink as a souvenir, but it turned out to be 40% proof. The other bottle is 57.1%. Is he planning to make a Molotov cocktail or something lol
You know I can talk for a long time when it comes to albums, right?
Namjoon said he went to get his ID photos taken for the album promotion.
Whenever I wonder about something related to BTS lately, I've developed a habit of going straight to Yahoo! Chiebukuro to ask. I went there right away!
ID photos are passport-style photos (^^)
I wonder if it means a set of photos that look like ID photos for each member.
People put them in their phone cases and things like that.
As an aside, in Korea, couples sometimes put each other's ID photos in their phone cases. It's merchandise that lets you feel that kind of vibe (^^)

Watching the two of them talk just between themselves like this, you can really feel the many layers of bonds connecting them.
They are the backbone of BTS songs, part of the rap line, fellow mixtape creators, and comrades who have been in BTS the longest.
I can feel the deep trust they've cultivated over 13 years!
The story about how, before Hobi released 'Jack In The Box', I was the first person he let listen to all the tracks, so I thought I'd do the same when I released my album, is so precious.
I was charmed by SUGA casually saying, 'It's a personal listening party, then.' A party for just the two of them, that's nice! (*´艸`)
Namjoon talking to SUGA about his thoughts on his first official solo album is so straightforward and cute. It's reassuring to have a friend who has gone through the same experience, isn't it?
He talks so much, eyes sparkling with trust, saying, 'Hyung, you understand, right?' SUGA listens and nods, saying, 'I get it,' and 'I empathize.'
The conversation between these two who love music continues uninterrupted, just like a single melody.
Just like how carbon turns into a diamond when pressed
I think that's what the album 'Indigo' is
It's a diamond that I pressed and extracted in my own way
'There aren't... many musicians who can do this many different genres, everyone!'
SUGA says, praising Namjoon's album.
A cheer filled with respect from a fellow professional, that's great!
Namjoon has the most credits on BTS songs, and he also has by far the most collaborations. His network is super wide. From this comment, it seems he's the type to actively reach out with love calls himself.
I'll leave the singing voice of Park Jiyoon-sunbaenim here, whom SUGA was agonizing over with envy, saying, 'How on earth did you get her to feature!?' and 'I love her so much!'
Topics that make you realize they are people fighting on the front lines of the music industry keep coming up, such as charts that can't be ignored when releasing an album, the length of the title track, the '16:8' structure, and the pros and cons of streaming.
When people talk about albums, it tends to lean towards impressions of each song, but that doesn't happen here; it's interesting because it's discussed from a multi-faceted production perspective as well. He's also a talented and wonderful commentator. If he were an athlete, he could turn into a news anchor after retirement.
The two of them are drinking high-proof alcohol smoothly. They have a lot of stamina!

The sensibility of the person named Kim Namjoon
And the sensibility of the person who has been conveying messages as the main axis of BTS albums
I think this will be an album where all of that is mixed together
SG: 'It's extremely important! In life, (being a fan/geek) is truly an important thing! To be a maniac of something, to be a fan of something is quite... quite!'Living while loving something'That's how I express it.'
RM: 'People with love and people without'
SG: 'The quality of life itself is different between those who have it and those who don't.'
The past, the future, and the 13 years we walked together
The story of the day we decided to become rappers. The lives of two amateur musicians who started with the same microphone.

The story of the day we witnessed all our schedules being canceled due to the unexpected COVID-19 pandemic.

Talking about 2025. After discussing how we might be able to show something for the 10th anniversary of 'The Most Beautiful Moment in Life' if we all get together,
(If everyone gets together) I just think it would be really fun,
SUGA says with a laugh.
It would be fun. Someone still won't have grown their hair out, and someone else will have grown it a little,
Namjoon chimes in happily.
Seeing the two of them imagine such trivial little things and laugh together made me feel how much they truly love the members and BTS, and it made me feel bittersweet.
Come back soon, even if your hair is at uneven lengths, that's fine! (T_T)

The last song SUGA chose for Namjoon was 'Let it be'.
In the end, they drank almost all of the 40-degree alcohol. Thanks to that, SUGA mentioned in EP.9 that he slept in the car on the way home.
