Impressions

Prerequisite

I went to the "Voice Allowed! ARMY BOMB Cheering Screening 4DX2D" version.
4DX is the one where the seats move, and smoke and air shots are released in sync with the movie, allowing you to enjoy a real attraction-like experience (additional fee applies).

Due to time constraints, I couldn't go to any other sessions, so I went to the 4DX version, but I think either one is fine if you have a choice.
It moves enough to make your neck rattle during intense parts, so I feel like people are divided into the "Let me focus!" camp and the "This is amazing in its own way!" camp lol

The row I sat in had a high rate of ARMY BOMBs, and it was incredibly fun!
The previous "Break The Silence" had concert scenes and interview scenes interwoven, so even in the cheering screening, it was hard to know when to use the ARMY BOMB, but this time it was okay to wave it with all my might from the beginning.
Since it's a concert movie, I think the "crowded cheering screening session" is the best if you're going. Let's aim for that!

"MIC Drop"

Smoke and fireworks erupt, and the vibration of the drums resonating in my chest makes my heart beat faster.
The seven members appear as silhouettes against a bright red background, followed by "MIC Drop." This opening is the best. It's enough to conquer the world.

It kicks off with Hobi's "Make Some Noise!!"
Having just headlined Lollapalooza three months before this concert, he looks a size larger. So reliable...!!

I heard beforehand that it was filmed using 14 dedicated cameras for diverse angles, and indeed, the cuts switch rapidly in time with the beat; you can tell at a glance there are many cameras. Thank you for all the editing work...!

I've watched the official videos for "MIC Drop" and "Run BTS" so many times, but even compared to those, there were new surprises. The sound in the movie theater is amazing!
The audio is clear, and I can perfectly tell where each member is singing and what their vocal quality is like. Suga's rap, which strikes like arrows fired in quick succession; V's bass, which supports the song from the bottom; and Jungkook's clear vocals, which sound like he's under a spotlight—everything is top-notch.
From the very first song, a knee-jerk reaction wells up inside me: "I want to come back again!"

In the end, Suga didn't drop the mic.

"Run BTS"

The venue, which was red for "MIC Drop," suddenly dyes itself blue. "Run BTS," which was being performed for fans for the first time at the time, has arrived...!!
I really love how Jungkook starts singing after Suga leans out from above the dancers gathered in the center and delivers a low "Run, run," like a fighter jet being guided by a command center.

Seeing Jimin-chan's stomach flash from his black shirt on the giant screen had a huge impact. I couldn't help but lean back (*ﾉωﾉ)

I absolutely love the part where Jimin-chan rides the motorcycle and then it goes into Hobi's part!
The subsiding accompaniment brings Hobi's voice to the surface, ringing out like fate being announced by an otherworldly being.
Drawn by that, the members are summoned one by one, gather to form a circle, and become a team to start running again. This staging, which feels like the Avengers assembling, is the best.
The tongue-out at the end of this part is a fatal blow, even if you aren't a Hobi fan. It's just too sinful!

Hobi is really looking cool on this day, hitting all my buttons. Long, wavy hair with gold highlights. Even though he's wearing gloves and has almost zero skin exposure, fully guarded, the racer style that shows his body lines makes me swoon.

The finale is a "Run!" by the leader.
Having the beginning and end of the song be commands from the two who started BTS is nothing but heart-wrenching.

"RUN"

The color of the ARMY bombs changes with every song, washing toward the stage like waves. The skills of the ARMY bomb production team, honed through world tours, are also top-tier.

My heart is pierced by V's scowl as he sings. His high-definition beauty, which easily withstands theater-sized projection, is just as expected.
I realize once again that it's amazing how everyone in this group has a great face. Since their singing, dancing, and performance are all top-notch, they look incredible on the silver screen. Ah, I wish I had compound eyes...!

Hobi's crowd-hyping raises the room temperature of the movie theater.
"Is everyone ready? Flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!"

*This dance practice video is addictive, combining the shock of Jungkook using Suga as a pillow at the beginning with the humor of the move where they shift one square to the side afterwards lol

Comment time

Jin's long-awaited flying kiss is the best.
Everyone's visuals are top-tier today, but Jin's glowing beauty with his hair slicked back is exceptional.
Just as a top star who has decided to graduate shines even brighter, perhaps the resolve before his military service gives him an even stronger radiance.

The Busan concert, the first in three years since the 2019 "Magic Shop" concert.

Jungkook and Jimin, who are from Busan, are especially cute with their local pride exploding!
Jungkook: "I used to live in Busan, everyone."
We know...! The whole of Busan shook with that lol.

The phrase he kept repeating at this time, "살아 있네 (Sarainne/You're looking good!)," was Busan dialect. I learned that later.

"Save ME"

"Save ME," which feels like it birthed a new concept of a "Busan-line starting song" based on the comments.
This is where Jungkook and V reach out to each other. I studied this, teacher!!

In 4DX, the shaking gets intense when the beat speeds up, so ARMY Bomb users, do your best not to lose lol.
The 94-line and Jungkook are chasing the camera together, which is cute. I want to be the cameraman.

At the end, the scene where everyone gathers around Jimin as he sings "그 손을 내밀어줘 (Reach out your hand)" is beautiful.
I'm weak for the composition of BTS coming together from different places, huddling, and becoming one...

"00:00 (Zero O’clock)"

This is the start of the vocal line corner.

Moon images line up in the background, and the sets on stage emerge.
The yellow school bus from "No More Dream," the train and circular blue swing from "Spring Day," the piano from "I NEED YOU (PUMA)"... these mementos are lined up with flowers and pampas grass, giving a sense of a culmination of their history.

Jin climbing onto the bus roof, Jimin singing on the piano bench, V standing in front of the train, Jungkook swaying on the chain swing... The beauty of their overlapping harmonies dominates the space, and my emotional gauge is about to break.

The camera angle that pans from Jungkook to Jin in the back is the best. I think I'll be happy if I remember this before I go to sleep.

"Butterfly (prologue mix)"

With blue butterflies dancing across the venue through visual effects, the four vocal line members sing into stand microphones. Is this heaven?

I am eternally grateful for the cinema sound system.
The resonance of V's low notes and his perfect harmony with Jungkook sound incredibly clear. I can't help but be moved all over again, thinking, "Was it always this beautiful!"

While watching this movie, I think I was just whispering "so cool" whenever I wasn't singing or groaning along.
V's stance with his red mic, earpiece, and one shoulder exposed is perfection.

Before singing the final phrase, Jungkook whispered, "Everyone, I really missed you," and I was left half-dead, thinking he really came to finish us off...

"UGH!"

From the serene pale purple of pre-dawn, the venue suddenly erupts into vivid red and flames. Flames, sparks, and smoke billow out without restraint.
The curtain rises on the masterpiece that is the rap line's time!

The dancers holding towels with the members' names on them are cute.
It's an item that even non-rap line fans would want to buy.

Unlike the vocal line parts where they layer their voices to weave a single world, the rap line parts feel like they are brawling using their own selves as weapons; both are uniquely wonderful.
I think BTS is a rare group to possess these two completely different charms. They could hold a world tour with just the vocal line or just the rap line. No, what I want to see most is the complete seven-member group, of course!!

The Busan concert footage only has the first two songs of the setlist uploaded to BANGTANTV, but for some reason, Amazon Prime Video Mexico released a few clips, so I picked them up.

At the end, the flow of RM pushing Hobi's shoulder during the frustration-filled "I'm so pissed off," Hobi's "Cut it out, Bro" gesture with both hands raised, and SUGA pushing them both aside with his fingertips saying "Move it" is explosively cool. A must-see!

Anyway, Hobi's crooked sunglasses are the best.

"Cypher PT.3: Killer"

Following SUGA's declaration of "This is My Turn," Namjoon commented, "This is the last time we will perform this song today."

I had no connection to rap, but the rap line made me realize that "rap is a performance," and I feel like I'm witnessing one of the pinnacles of it.
It's incredibly cool how the other two members keep engaging even when someone else has the main part, but since it's a barrage of ultra-high-speed rap like flying bullets, you can't just jump in without fully grasping it. An amateur would probably break their wrist trying.

Hobi, who was just full of swagger and looked like the king of party people, is now exuding so much masculine charm that I feel like there must be casualties everywhere.
There's a sound like Hobi howling right before Namjoon's "I go by the name of monster" part, and it sounds so inhuman that it really hits home!

VCR

A VCR where a mysterious larva like Nyakki turns from a pupa into a butterfly and flies around looking down on the ARMY Bomb people.
I think this is the members' costume change time. The footage is relatively short, but I wonder if something else was inserted at the actual venue.

"Dynamite"

The members appear in new costumes. Taehyung's large pearls are so cute.
"Dynamite" starts with Jungkook's light and airy vocals!

The monitors behind them show ARMYs from all over the world, reminding me of the online concert.
Fireworks bursting like dynamite. It's a stage full of bright colors and smiles, as if they are turning the hardships of the COVID era into memories and blowing them away. So fun!

Hobi, who was dancing with a big smile, had a sharp look in his eyes for a moment around Jin's "Shining through the city with a little funk and soul" part, and I think many Hobi stans died from that.
I don't think Hobi stans have enough extra lives for this performance. As expected, the man who just returned from Lollapalooza is in a different league...!

Large fireworks are launched, and the excitement reaches its peak!

"Boy With Luv"

Following this, it was SUGA who chimed in with, "This is Busan City."
I thought Namjoon was the only one who did puns with rhymes, so I was caught off guard and burst out laughing. That's right, he's a rapper too...!
Jungkook reacted with an "Oh," so I wonder if it was an ad-lib.

Namjoon immediately picked up on it with "Busan Metropolitan City," showing his stable sense of humor... or rather, the quick reflexes of a rapper who speaks as soon as he thinks of a rhyme lol
SUGA pointed at him as if to say "Nice one," and they both laughed together. What is up with these cute people ( ;∀;)

After urging the ARMYs to "Make some noise!", Hobi gives a finger heart with a "Well done" smile. I want to be coached by him...!

Jungkook and Taehyung leaning into Hobi during the "Oh, no~" part is too cute. Someone please make an infinite loop GIF of this...! (I feel like it already exists)

I am struck again by the members gathering in time for Namjoon's part. A massive amount of confetti rains down.

'Butter'

The mood shifts, and after the members' banter of 'Oh, what's this?' and 'What is it?', we get everyone's favorite, 'Butter'! It's just so much fun, I can't help but laugh (*´艸｀)

By the way, I love it so much when Hobi leads the maknae line in 'Mic Drop', but if you think about it calmly, couldn't you also see Jin as the one leading the maknae line? No, wait, is that possible? (I am not calm at all)

During the dance break, the 95-line laughing behind the dance leader is cute.

Comment time

Taking over from Hobi and Jin's crowd-hyping, SUGA's roar from the gut: 'Your voices are too small! Scream one more time!'

Truth be told (I'm not hiding it), my first experience with a BTS stage was 'D-DAY' and the second was this one, so my first impression was set by Agust D-sensei. So I am very weak to SUGA's shouting. Or rather, I reflexively want to obey. I realized I have grown into a well-trained ARMY who screams when Sensei says 'Scream' and jumps when he says 'Jump'...

SUGA: 'There were many of you who were happy just hearing the intro.' It makes me happy to know they watch the audience so closely from the stage.

'Ma City'

'Ma City' starting from Jimin's 'Welcome to My City, Let's Go!!'! I was really looking forward to this song. Hearing 'Busan's sea' from Busan-native Jimin in Busan makes my blood boil!!

Also, since this is a relatively early song (included in the 2015 'The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2'), Jimin's part is lower. The treasure-like feeling of hearing Jimin's parts from his 'singing with muscles' era with his 2022 voice is amazing. I am weak to his raspy voice, and my excitement is unstoppable.

The moment the intro started, Jimin threw away the jacket he had taken off. I can feel his spirit...!

I feel like Namjoon's lyrics were the Busan version. I don't know the details, but the part where he always says
Ilsan was Busan. The part that goes, 'Ilsan, the place I never want to leave even if I die.' Busan residents must be moved...!

Fireworks go off with the final phrase, and the venue is enveloped in blue. It looked like the color of the sky spreading from the Busan sea and the skyline...!

'Dope'

Along with the ARMY bombs swaying like waves, the shout of 'Jjeoreo!' erupts from the venue. You can feel the relentless spirit from BTS saying, 'We're going to get you hyped! Don't you dare stop!'
If I keep waving my ARMY bomb with this much intensity, I feel like I'm going to develop special muscles. Let's call them 'ARMY muscles'.

The angle of everyone walking toward the camera is a masterpiece. Aaaah, wait, don't wait!!

Jimin's 'Ireon ge Bangtan style' (This is the Bangtan style) that instantly calms the roaring venue is incredible.
Then, just when you think Jungkook is going to shout, he leaves 'I gotta make it fire baby' to the ARMY... wait, really...!

'Fire'

The venue instantly turns the color of fire, and Namjoon hypes everyone up by asking, 'Are you ready to burn!?' The pillars of fire are amazing.
Even if we don't know Korean, we're Japanese ARMYs who know 'Bultaoreune,' so we're fully prepared!

Jimin's 3:33 scene is truly wonderful. It's so cool how his body parts move completely independently!

Taehyung also gave the 'Bow wow wow' after 'Ssak da bultaewora' (Burn it all up) to the ARMY. It's heart-wrenching to feel the trust that says, 'You can sing this, right?'

'IDOL'

'IDOL' in this flow!
On the screen behind them, fans and drums reminiscent of the 2018 MMA dance. The dancers are all there, and there are even big fireworks and mysterious lion dance balloons in the sky. It's getting so exciting!

I feel their confidence in the stage through the Bangtan style of throwing 'the best' at us in rapid succession. Maybe it's because it's a one-day concert, but there's a palpable spirit of 'let's burn it all down here!'
Except for the vocal line/rap line scenes, these guys are on stage together the whole time. Isn't that amazing!?

Well, by this point, the audience is so hyped that I'm too busy singing, cheering, and waving my ARMY bomb to even think about my impressions.
Honestly, I don't think I can go to anything other than a cheering screening...

Jungkook's 'Make Some Noise!!' is supreme.

Comment Time

BTS really gave it their all. Jungkook is out of breath, but Hobi steps in with his usual tone for his greeting—he's just amazing. Our dance leader is incredible...

Jimin can't finish his sentence after saying, "The concert is already..." and repeats the same words over and over. Knowing that Jin-hyung is going to the military after this concert makes my heart ache as I watch this...

Jin-hyung
"The fact that time passed so quickly is proof that it was a happy time."
"Don't be too sad. There's still a little bit left, so let's enjoy this festival with the same feelings."

Namjoon
"This moment isn't forever, but we have a new tomorrow. Instead of feeling sad, let's share our expectations as we give our final greetings."

It was heartbreaking to see Jimin not letting go of Namjoon and Hobi's hands until the very end while bowing.

"Young Forever"

Hobi's expression here left a deep impression on me.
Especially his part before Taehyung's "Forever," where he sings "오늘의 나로 영원하고파" (I want to be forever as I am today) as if he's shouting it—it reminded me that after Jin-hyung, it would be Hobi next...! I was completely devastated...!

With Jin-hyung going to the military, BTS is inevitably entering the next step. You can feel the pain of moving into a world different from their solo activities, and the maknae line's chorus sounds like a cry from those who are sending him off. As they sing, the distance between them shrinks, and seeing them lean on each other and layer their voices, I can't help but be moved to tears.

"Now that 10 years have passed, from the time we were trainees until now, there were hard times and moments when I wanted to quit. I think I'm able to stand here today because the members were by my side supporting me every time."

The members shared their heartfelt thoughts even while there were things they couldn't say yet.
The promises made by these always sincere men will surely come true.

Let's believe in those words and wait. Jin has already returned. Hobi has only four months left!

'For Youth'

Whenever I watch BTS concert footage, I am always moved by the singing voices of ARMY and the beauty of the ARMY bombs. Various people gather as ARMY, and each one is there as a light of an ARMY bomb. It is a scene that embodies our affection...

'Spring Day'

The train gives a sense of departure.
Given the situation, the line from Galaxy Express 999, 'The whistle for departure is blowing now,' is automatically playing in my mind... It's BTS time now! Stay focused!

When the members go outside, that beach from The Most Beautiful Moment in Life is shown on the screen.
It also reminds me of the ARMY slogan, 'If we are together, even the desert becomes the sea,' which makes me feel overwhelmed.

And yet, V's face appearing at key moments is so beautiful... (V-stan showing their true colors)

The camera brings a close-up of Jin at the end. They know what they're doing...

'Yet To Come'

The members approach ARMY while singing, cherishing the final moments.
Jin reads the slogan, and V receives it directly.
I always wonder, who thinks of and makes these slogans? I think it's a work of genius as a copywriter...

The camera looking down from above at the final large fireworks is amazing!
I wonder if a drone can go that far. Their desire to share a wonderful sight I've never seen before really came through, and I was thrilled!

It was absolutely amazing.
The sound quality in particular is wonderful. I had many new discoveries, like "Oh, so Jimin was layering over SUGA here!"
For those who have already seen it, this is a film I really want you to hear in a movie theater at least once!

Finally, during the credits, Jimin said, "I'm glad I was born," and I felt grateful that he has become someone who can say that. I was a little worried after the previous movie, you see ( ;∀;)
