The K-POP world has song reviews

In South Korea, there is a system called "Song Review," where KBS conducts a preliminary screening to determine if a song is suitable for broadcast. Simply put, it is a state where they check in advance whether a song is appropriate for terrestrial broadcast by NHK.
Due to the nature of "preliminary screening," the results are announced in advance, allowing us to know song information before the release, so we often see this during comeback periods.

The content of the application may sometimes differ slightly from what is registered later with KOMCA (Korea Music Copyright Association).
Song reviews are provisional information, and I think it is safe to treat KOMCA information as the official data.
Perhaps because adjustments before registration take time, the timing of KOMCA registration and database reflection (publication) is quite varied and not consistent.

The K-POP world also has music video reviews

It is not just songs that are subject to preliminary screening; music videos (MVs) are also subject to it. This is done at a different time than the song review.

Basically, this applies to the Official MV, and it seems that Teasers and Visualizers are not included. Perhaps it is because they are not broadcast on terrestrial television.

To understand the content, there is a rule for song reviews that "translations must be submitted for foreign language lyrics," but for MVs, there seems to be a rule that "a short summary of the content must be submitted," which is recorded in the file.
I don't often see MV descriptions from official sources, so I find them interesting to read every time! (*´艸｀)

Some songs are not submitted for MV deliberation

Basically, the deliberation results are released about two days before the MV release date, but sometimes there are ones that are not listed. For example, Tablo x Namjoon's "Stop The Rain" and Namjoon's "Around the world in a day" are not there either.

However, in the case of "Around the world in a day," it was deemed ineligible by the song deliberation committee, so there is a possibility that it wasn't submitted from the start because there was no point in doing so. By the way, the reason for ineligibility was "lyrics containing profanity, derogatory language, and vulgar expressions" lol
For "Stop The Rain," there is also a possibility that it was deemed ineligible due to sensitive content, leading to no MV submission, or it may not have been submitted from the start.

Well, since it's a review to see if it's suitable for terrestrial broadcasting, it doesn't affect online releases, so I guess it's fine!

Regarding the songs, it seems that in the case of albums, they are submitted in their entirety, so I haven't seen a case where "only this song was not submitted" so far.

This is the first deliberation system I've encountered in the K-POP world. I look forward to it every time as a kind of bonus, as it allows me to know the content of new songs a little bit earlier.

Regarding copyright information, it's not finalized until KOMCA comes out, so for now, I'm checking which ones Bangtan is involved in writing and composing, and which music producers are participating.

At first, I was only interested in Bangtan (because my capacity was limited...), but as I gradually learned about music producers, it's fun to have a wider range of things to fantasize about, or rather, imagine the background of ( *´艸｀)
