How to Spot Mental Fatigue
Have you ever noticed yourself one day feeling completely unmotivated,
and just spending your time aimlessly?
“Why am I being so lazy...”
Have you ever found yourself
blaming yourself like that?
But please, rest assured.
The reason for this
is absolutely not because you are being lazy.
In fact,
it is an important SOS sign
telling you that your heart has already been working too hard.
Your heart is fighting more than you realize
Our hearts
diligently receive so much information and emotion in our daily lives.
The intense pressure of daily work.
Tiring relationships where you are always walking on eggshells.
And the strong anxiety about the future that strikes in unexpected moments.
These diverse stresses
place a heavy burden on your heart without you noticing.
When that fatigue reaches its limit,
to prevent itself from breaking down,
your heart slows down your actions, saying, “I can't move anymore.”
Ten years ago, when everything exceeded my heart's capacity
Actually, ten years ago,
I myself was being severely cornered by many things.
The pressure of work,
personal worries,
and overwhelming anxiety about an unseen future.
“I have to work harder and harder, or it's no good.”
As I kept pushing myself like that,
all the stresscompletely exceeded my heart's capacity.
At that time,
I lost all interest
even in the hobbies I used to love so much.
Nothing moves my heart, and
I am just emotionlessly getting through each day.
I had truly fallen into
a state where my heart had completely run out of energy.
A friend's words melted my frozen heart
One day, that happened.
A long-time friend came to visit me for the first time in a while.
Seeing my dark expression, my friend looked worried and said this quietly.
You haven't seemed like yourself lately, have you?
Those warm words pierced deep into my chest.
Oh, I'm not doing well right now. In truth, I was suffering so, so much...
Only after it was pointed out by someone else
was Ifinally able to realize that my own heart was screaming.
I finally realized that I had been looking away from my own limits all along.
Stop seeking perfection and allow yourself a 'break'
Having accepted my true state,
from there, I began to trysmall changeslittle by little.
I stopped setting big goals,
and began creating 'overwhelming space' in my daily life.
Try spending just 5 minutes every day, just for yourself.
Try writing down the things on your mind or your worries in a notebook just as they are.
And above all, what I valued most was
'never blaming myself for being unable to move, and allowing myself to rest from the heart.'
As I rested well and my heart became filled,
my body, which had been so heavy, began to move naturally little by little.
Why not try taking a small step starting today?
If you, too, are currently feeling
'my heart feels somewhat unstable'
or 'my energy is completely drained.'
First, please try taking a
truly small step forward.
There is absolutely no need to try and change your life drastically all at once.
Not at all.
Try gently talking to a trusted friend about how you honestly feel right now.
Try taking a short walk in a nearby park and refreshing yourself by feeling the natural breeze.
Such
accumulations of small actions that no one else might notice
will eventually become the light that significantly changes your future.
Starting today,
why not tell yourself, 'Good job,' for all your hard work,
and brew a cup of your favorite warm drink?
