Your experience just hasn't become a 'reason to be chosen' yet
You have experience. You have a track record. You have qualifications.
Yet, for some reason, you aren't being chosen.
This is not a problem of ability.
It is simply that your 'reason to be chosen' has not yet been put into words.
I myself couldn't explain it well either
For over 10 years as a training instructor, I have been involved in supporting more than 300 companies.
I have a decent track record. The feedback from clients isn't bad either.
But when asked, 'What do you do?',
I had a feeling that I couldn't explain it well somehow.
Saying 'I am an expert in XX' isn't wrong.
But it doesn't feel like it captures my essence.
'I don't have anything special'
'Because I've been doing this as a matter of course, I don't know if it has value'
There was a long period where I felt this way.
At one point, I had AI analyze my work and communications up to that point.
I was surprised when I saw the words that came back.
Using words different from superficial job titles,
the essence of what I had truly been doing began to emerge.
I thought, 'This is it.'
Why did I, who had been confined to that one area of expertise, feel so uncomfortable?
Concept design, e-books, research,
it was the moment I saw a common meaning in things that looked like completely different jobs.
'Because I lack ability' was wrong
'There are many people who have good services'
This sounds cruel, but it is actually a hopeful statement.
Because the difference in being chosen is not just a difference in ability.
When there are multiple people with similar experience,
what is the difference between those who are chosen and those who are not?
'Whether you are communicating in the words that are in the other person's head'
This is where the big dividing line lies.
For example, aren't you communicating like this?
'I will verbalize your concept and systematize your communication'
That is not wrong. But it is hard to get through.
Because readers don't wake up in the morning thinking,
'I need to verbalize my concept.'
They are thinking this:
'I am communicating, but it doesn't lead to inquiries'
'I am saying good things, but I am not being chosen'
'What am I missing?'
Communicate with these words. Use words that reach these worries.
By changing to words that reach the other person's worries, the reactions will also start to change little by little.
It wasn't that AI gave me the answer, but that my experiences connected
Even when I did self-analysis,
it wasn't that I didn't understand myself at all.
What am I good at?
What have I felt uncomfortable with?
What have I valued?
In what situations have I demonstrated my strengths?
Because I had been facing myself for a long time, I could see the answers to some extent.
As a feeling, I think I understood up to about 75%.
Even so, there was a feeling that I couldn't move forward,
a feeling that something was not quite right remained.
What is written in diagnoses and methods is not wrong.
However, it doesn't connect as a core of life.
It doesn't feel like I can use it as it is as words for work.
I don't think I am capturing my essence.
The change happened when I organized my daily work, past communications,
and things I had chosen so far in a dialogue with AI.
However, it is not that AI told me, 'This is your answer.'
While looking at the words AI produced,
'This is a little different'
'The direction is close, but it's still superficial'
'This might be what I have truly valued'
I checked one by one with my own senses.
As I repeated the dialogue with AI, rather than the remaining answers increasing,
the things I had seen until now connected as a single line.
Work as a training instructor.
Concept design.
E-books.
Research and communication.
Even if the fields looked different, at the root, I had been doing the same thing all along.
Finding value that hasn't been put into words yet, and arranging it into a form that reaches the other party.
Rather than discovering a new self,
it was a feeling that meaning and connection were born in the fragments of myself I already knew.
People who don't feel right even after self-analysis
don't lack understanding of themselves.
Rather, precisely because they have already noticed many things,
there are many fragments of experience, and sometimes they cannot be put together well.
They have experience, things they are good at, and things they have valued.
It's just that they haven't connected into a single axis of
'Who am I?'
'To whom, what kind of value do I deliver?'
'Why am I chosen?'
AI is not something that decides that answer.
It is a dialogue partner for reflecting back experiences you have become too used to seeing yourself,
questioning them, and finding connections.
When scattered experiences connect into a single line,
words that you can finally say 'This is me' are born.
The moment it became words, the scenery changed
When a concept becomes words,
you don't have to think about the content to communicate from scratch every time.
The same axis will run through your profile, LP, and proposals.
When you use AI, rather than sentences that resemble someone else's,
it becomes easier to produce words that follow your own thoughts.
However, what is important is not to create beautiful words.
It is that you are convinced and can continue to use them.
It is that the person you want to reach can feel 'This is about me.'
And that they are words that lead to work and services.
Verbalization is not about finding the correct words, but
about arranging them into words that reach both yourself and the other party.
It is not your fault that you are not chosen
The reason you are not chosen even if you have a track record is not because you lack ability.
It is just that the reason to be chosen has not yet been put into words.
It is already inside your experience.
It is waiting to be verbalized.
To those who feel 'I don't have anything special'
The reason to be chosen is not something you create anew.
From the experiences you have accumulated so far,
it is about finding the value that has become a matter of course to you,
and arranging it into words that reach the other party.
In the free email newsletter, I deliver 9 questions to find 'It has to be you,' and
