Walt Disney World Travel Report 10 - 2022

This time it is day 5.
This post covers our second visit to Animal Kingdom.

I wanted to ride Avatar again, so we did rope drop first thing in the morning.
It was a clear, sunny day that screamed Florida, and the bright blue sky really lifted my spirits.

#PandoraArea

At a shop selling Avatar-related merchandise, they had ballpoint pens modeled after the jellyfish from the movie. My son wanted one at first, but I stopped him because they were clearly impractical and would just end up as ornaments.

My plant-loving son, who couldn't give up and kept wandering around the store, discovered an air plant that looked like a smaller version of the ones planted in the Pandora area!!
It's just planted upside down, but what a novel idea.
It was about the same price, so I gave in and said okay. Hahaha (*^。^*)

#JellyfishStyleAirPlant

Since there is no service in America like in Japan where they carefully pack things in boxes so the leaves don't break, I used other souvenir boxes to sneak it into my suitcase and successfully brought it home.
Since it's an air plant, it's easy to care for with just an occasional misting, and the umbrella part that reminds me of a jellyfish is stylish and cute🥰

#Timon&Pumbaa

It was incredibly hot from the morning that day, so I was busy replenishing fluids rather than eating.
Due to menopause, I felt like I was just sweating and couldn't keep up.

While moving to another area, I spotted lemon sherbet (forgot to take a picture😖) and chocolate banana ice cream being sold at a wagon, and unable to withstand the heat, I bought them without hesitation.

The cast member at the wagon, who looked bored, broke into a huge smile the moment I made a purchase.

It was topped with crushed almonds, and it felt like a banana version of a Giant Cone.
It was delicious and I was so satisfied. It was cold and brought me back to life~(*^^*)

#ChocolateBananaIceCream

We were eating a little way from the wagon, but guests passing by us were drawn to it as if by a magnet, forming a line to buy them one after another (lol).
Maybe my son and I contributed to the wagon's sales (*^^*)

After cooling down for a while, we started walking and met Kevin.

#Kevin

I kept calling out to Kevin to get closer, but even though she interacts with small children, she completely ignored me, a woman over 50. It's quite sad, isn't it~😢

Our WDW trip is nearing its end.
The meet and greet with Chip & Dale in dinosaur costumes had been listed as "coming soon" on the official website for a long time, and just when I had given up and thought we could only see them on the boat, luckily it had restarted. Hooray🙌

The shooting location was very hard to find, and you wouldn't notice it unless you were a hardcore fan.
I went to take a peek to see if it was happening, and I was surprised to see a line had already formed Σ(゚∀゚ノ)ノ Wow~♥

#I was so moved by Chip's hug

I waited for over 30 minutes, but I was so moved when my favorite Chip & Dale gave me a big hug 😭

To cool down, we lined up for Kali River Rapids.
Even though it was hot, I was fully equipped with a raincoat.
My son didn't wear one and got soaked from head to toe by the water without mercy 💧
The seat you get on the ride really determines your fate.
Even without speaking directly to the diverse group of people we rode with, sharing the same experience was full of smiles from start to finish, and it was so much fun 😆

#Nemo object

My clothes dried in the blazing sun, and we cooled off by waiting early at the Nemo show venue, which served as both a break and a way to escape the heat 😌 Phew~

I had heard from prior information that 'Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond' was unpopular because it was childish, but for my son and me, it had far more moving scenes than the Lion King show, and we liked it better 🤩

Next, we headed to 'DINOSAUR,' which doesn't exist in Japan.
After enjoying the dinosaur-themed mini-museum queue line, we boarded the safari car.

#DINOSAUR

It took off with tremendous speed from the start, and the intensity was overwhelming.
It's a very satisfying and quite intense attraction. Please try to experience this feeling that you can only get here 👍

Next, we went to 'It's Tough to be a Bug!', which also doesn't exist in Japan.
The venue is similar to PhilharMagic in Japan, and it's an attraction where you can enjoy various things from a bug's perspective. It has a short wait time and is recommended for taking a break.

The very end is just so funny 😄
A mysterious sensation occurs where caterpillars suddenly run under your seat, poking your bottom repeatedly (;^ω^)
My son and I were rolling on the floor laughing at the reaction of the foreign adult woman sitting next to us, who screamed and jumped out of her seat without caring who was watching (lol)

The birds by the water looked cool, but... the areas of Animal Kingdom are far apart, and there is little shade while moving, so even walking for a short time consumes a lot of energy 🥵

#Water bird whose name I don't know

I was using a cooling towel and had a cooling gel sheet on the back of my neck to deal with the heat, but I was defeated by the strong Florida sun. I decided to gracefully give up on visiting many animals, including the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail that I was looking forward to, and we even had dinner back at the hotel.

I thought that if I evacuated to the hotel to recover my strength, I could return to Animal Kingdom, but heading to Disney Springs in the afternoon was a mistake, and it took up quite a bit of time 😱

According to the plan, I intended to have dinner at 'Satu'li Canteen' in Animal Kingdom and watch the Tree of Life Awaken, which is held from sunset until the park closes, but unfortunately, I couldn't post it in the report.

The photo below was purchased via Disney PhotoPass, and it's beautiful.

The projection mapping, which lasts only about 10 minutes, may not have the glamour of fireworks, but I feel that experiencing the images amidst the darkness and silence that comes with coexisting with animals is something precious and worth seeing.

When I realized that moving to Animal Kingdom, which is the furthest from Disney Springs and has the earliest park closing time, was extremely troublesome, it was too late (;O;)
I can only say it's a shame, and I calmed my heart by watching YouTube videos later.
I am truly grateful for this era where I can access local videos without going there and get the feeling as if I had actually gone and seen it.

#I wish I could have seen it

Next time, I will introduce Disney Springs. Thank you for staying with me for so long 🙇
