056. A Match That Felt Like a Miracle - K.T.
I had never won a match against this A-class player before because I made so many mistakes.
However, just like in rally practice, I focused entirely on adjusting myself to the ball's movement and hitting it.
I thought this match was a 'miracle'.
I just repeated the process of 'focusing on the ball, watching the moment the opponent hits it, deciding the course in the next instant, and then hitting it with a clear mind'.
When I focused on the ball, I stopped being swayed by winning or losing, or by whether I made a good shot or a mistake.
This was a major gain.
My honest impression is that I was so absorbed in the game, playing with 'zero tennis' in my mind, that I simply 'won'. That is my report for this time.
