052. The slump of the last few years has completely blown away - A.K.
This is **** from Toyohashi City, who received the text from you the other day.
This is a follow-up report. You are welcome to use it for other purposes.
First of all, the moment I read the text, I thought, 'This is it!' and it really opened my eyes.
The effect was immediate at the next on-court session, and the slump I've been in for the last few years has completely blown away. Thank you so much!!
If I analyze why I was able to accept it so easily,
I think I used to do it unconsciously in the past. This isn't just a strange excuse, haha.
It feels like your advice helped me regain a good image.
When I was a student, I was lucky enough to have a period where I was taught one-on-one by a coach in the junior course at a tennis school.
I think back then, I was just focused on chasing the ball with all my might.
Now, I only practice for 90 minutes once a week at a tennis school. I often rush home from work and start playing without even warming up properly.
I can't hit the ball well. Something feels off. I feel like it's basically a problem that goes beyond technique. My timing is off, and I can't hit it comfortably. I just don't get it anymore.
As a result, for the last few years, it hasn't been fun, and I've actually felt more stressed.
I'd come home and keep making excuses, saying, 'I used to be able to hit better than this,' and my wife would just roll her eyes at me...
That was effective from the first few rallies.
By focusing, the anxiety about not being able to hit well completely vanished from my mind. In fact, my mistakes have decreased dramatically.
Also, when I do make a mistake, it doesn't bother me anymore, and I've even started to feel positive, thinking, 'I'll focus more on the ball next time.'
I think it made a big difference to be taught the trick in words, understand it, and start being conscious of it.
