There are dozens of patterns, and each one makes you think, 'I didn't see that coming!', keeping you from ever getting bored.

His interactions with Ned, his old classmate and insurance salesman, are hilarious, and every bit of foreshadowing is utilized, turning every encounter into part of the story.

He improvises, takes on challenges, falls into despair, engages in car chases, performs a car dive worthy of Thelma & Louise, and even commits suicide, repeating every possible one-day adventure in life.

And he finds himself drawn to Andie MacDowell, the kind-hearted woman who produces the show with him.
