Post-installation tuning is essential for power plant cameras

Many camera companies promote AI cameras, but the areas around power plants are not necessarily unmanned.

Regarding detection settings

Tech Matsumoto tunes alarm functions to match the field of view at the site by using different features, such as triggering an alert when someone approaches the fence, or triggering an alert 3 to 10 seconds after a person or vehicle enters a specific area.

As shown in the photo below, if the top half of the screen is a place where cars pass by, setting the entire area as a detection target will cause the alarm to sound continuously.
While we would like to issue an alarm before someone crosses the fence, in this case, we have configured it so that the alarm sounds once they enter the premises.

Regarding nighttime visibility

Cameras automatically adjust their white balance and generally provide a decent image at night, but if a guy wire supporting a utility pole is captured in the frame, the camera may focus on it, causing the entire image to become pitch black.
Also, if bright streetlights or other light sources are captured, the image tends to become dark, which may prevent the camera from capturing an intruder, so manual brightness adjustment is necessary.Click here for details
