First of all, what was there before "OIMACHI TRACKS"?
This vast site was previously occupied by **JR East company housing (Hiromachi company housing/employee apartments)**. Along with the adjacent Tokyo General Rolling Stock Center (rail yard) and the Shinagawa Ward Office to the west, it was a place that the general public rarely had the opportunity to enter for a long time. The biggest point of this redevelopment is that the former company housing site has been transformed into an open plaza (TRACKS PARK) and commercial facilities, opening it up significantly to the city.
