[Field Trip Report] #Adopting Stand-up Pouch Packaging

T, who was struggling with packaging issues.

After writing the last article, I immediately went to visit various stores.

I went to home centers, shopping malls, drugstores, convenience stores, roadside stations, and many other places to have some fun.I went on a field trip.

This was incredibly interesting!

Since I received valuable opinions and many warm comments in the last article, my heart was already leaning towards stand-up pouches even before I went on the field trip, but it really pays to go and see for yourself.

There's something to be found when you go out!

It's worth taking action. It was just plain fun♪

When you go shopping, you usually just walk around the store, right?
And you just kind of look at products and choose them, right?

When you have a sense of purpose like 'I'm going to research packaging! I'm going to learn from products!', you notice so much more, and just looking at the products gets you excited, haha.

Things like, 'This is so stylish!', 'Green tea packaging really does tend to be green, doesn't it?', 'This product is so cheap, are they actually making a profit?', or 'The packaging uses gold and looks luxurious, but it's surprisingly low-priced.'

I encountered a lot of designs and types of packaging. I met so many wonderful products.

And then, I noticed stand-up pouches everywhere. Or rather, there are so many varieties.

This is probably the best-selling format.

I imagined using them. You can leave them on the kitchen or dining table so they're ready to use, and above all, they're slim and stylish. They're also easy to store on shelves. Practical and convenient.
The more I think about it, the more capable they seem.

'Wait a minute. Besides tea, what other things use stand-up pouches?'

I started getting curious about stand-up pouches in various genres, so I decided to look for them.

When I went around to stores and investigated, I was able to discover various stand-up pouches. The ones that caught my eye the most were breakfast cereals and protein powders. Those are things we use often too.

There were many other types as well.

・Rice (1kg to 2kg)
・Powdered goods (okonomiyaki flour, wheat flour, etc.)
・Furikake (rice seasoning)
・Soup stock, hot pot base mixes
・Retort pouch foods
・Snacks
・Cocoa, coffee, Milo, etc.
・Health supplements

There are too many others to list, but stand-up pouches were used for all sorts of things. There's clearly a huge demand for them.

For unique examples, I found simmered mackerel and sardines (in the canned goods section), and in the refrigerated section, there were things like cheese and nata de coco.

Outside of food, it is mainly used for refills. Things like laundry detergent, shampoo, body soap, and disinfectant sprays.

I realized that stand-up pouches are used for a wide variety of products. Whoever came up with this first is a genius.

Anyway, I've decided on this for the packaging!
Tee is adopting the stand-up pouch!

As for the packaging color, I thought white felt stylish and clean.
Maybe I should follow Kirishima Shuzo's lead and go with two colors, white and black, for the packaging lol

Anyway, it was a very productive outing. inspection.
