Chitose🛫 [Hokkaido Gourmet Trip ⑤]
For the final part of our Hokkaido gourmet trip, we went to New Chitose Airport.
There are so many dining options that it's truly hard to choose!
……However, this time I had decided from the start to “finish off at the airport's Ramen Dojo”, so it was time to pick a ramen shop🍜

but since there were many people taking photos, I gave up on taking pictures from that side.
Although we went at a time when we thought it wouldn't be crowded,
Ebisoba Ichigen and Keyaki still had huge lines.
(My husband hates waiting in line. I don't mind at all.)
Then my husband suddenly said something.
“What do you think is the difference between the shops that are empty and the ones that are crowded at this time?”
“Huh?”
“Honestly... it's just whether or not their main dish is miso.”
“What?”
“If you don't insist on miso, you can eat delicious ramen without waiting in line.”
W-what did you say!?
Even so, I stuck to my miso ramen plan this time, and decided to choose a shop I had never been to before.
We went to Sapporo Ramen Yukiakari, which had a decent number of customers and we were able to sit down right away.

I ordered the classic Butter Corn Ramen (Miso).
It even came with a slotted spoon to make it easy to scoop up the corn,
a thoughtful design that lets you eat every last kernel🍜

The miso wasn't too rich, and it went really well with the butter, making it very easy to eat.
(Honestly... if I had been hungrier, it would have tasted even better!)

And even though I had already bought so many sweets, I found something delicious at the airport and ended up buying it too.

Caramel Biscuits (Butter flavor) from Glico, which is the only store of its kind in the country located at New Chitose Airport.
They seem to be very particular about their ingredients, so I'm looking forward to eating them🍭
If you want to buy popular souvenirs at the airport, before noon is highly recommended!
It's a common Hokkaido occurrence that items start selling out in the afternoon, and by evening, only the standard items are left.
And this trip was actually...
We didn't have to wait in line even once,
neither for restaurants nor for souvenir shops.
Zero crowds.
Zero stress.
Zero wasted time.
My husband calculated the time to avoid the crowds,
drove that distance, and timed it all perfectly—
It's insane.
He's like a serious 'crowd-avoidance AI,' it's actually scary😱

“I don't wait in line” Husband
vs
“I'm totally fine with it” Me
── And the husband wins by default.
What I learned next to a husband who won't wait in line.
Before asking 'is it delicious?',
'can we eat it right here, right now?' is also important.
