The Start of My Mingei Journey

A record of when I went on a Mingei journey while I was in Kyoto and wondering what to do next
What I thought when I went to the Matsumoto Folkcraft Museum in Nagano.
“I have to go see all kinds of Mingei.”
Perhaps because I had seen so many wonderful Mingei pieces, I naturally felt that I had to go see even more.
At that time, I was in the middle of searching for what to do with my life.
I was exhausted from looking at various places and listening to many people's stories while trying to decide where to live and what to do for work.
That was when I happened to visit the Matsumoto Folkcraft Museum.
The moment I stepped inside, I felt a wave of happiness and it was just so comfortable to be there.
The Matsumoto Folkcraft Museum is tucked away in a residential area a bit far from the city center, so it is very quiet. After slowly enjoying the space filled with Mingei, I sat and thought while gazing at the beautiful garden.
I had such a wonderful time that my recent fatigue just blew away.
For now, without thinking about the future,let's do what I want to do now.
I had always wanted to go on a Mingei journey, and since coming here made me feel that I had to go see various things, I decided to just follow that feeling and take action.
