453. What I, who was afraid of posting, now think was 'truly for the best'.
I wanted to try posting.
But I was afraid.
Because, posting something yourself feels like,
the image of
“leaping into a vast, new world on your own.”
There are countless people there, but
no one knows who I am.
So, if an ordinary person like me
were to write an article
about what I want to convey,
would there even be anyone
who would listen to my voice?
I was afraid.
Even after I set up my WordPress blog,
the traffic remained at zero,
which made me feel that fear even more.
Giving up on becoming someone who posts,
giving up on trying to share what I want to say,
and just staying as a reader
would be less scary,
less embarrassing,
and easier,
I thought.
But, I had an irresistible urge
to change that version of myself.
I became intensely disgusted
with remaining
in my current narrow world.
Depending on myself,
if I reached out, I could open
the door to a new world,
and I wanted to try opening it.
At that time,
I was four months postpartum with my third child.
Precisely because I had experienced
advanced fertility treatment and miscarriage,
even though things were full of unexpected events
that didn't go as planned,
I was savoring the happiness of being able to hold in my arms
the child I had wanted so desperately,
and the happiness of being able to do the parenting
I had wanted so much to do.
But on the other hand, my children would inevitably
gradually let go of my hand
and walk their own paths.
If I neglected raising myself,
what would be left for me?
How would I live
my own life?
When I thought about that,
I felt empty,
and it terrified me.
I realized that staying as I was
was scarier than the fear of posting.
So, I took the plunge.
It was scary, but
I jumped into the world of note
and started posting.
Two years have passed since then.
What I think now is,
the feeling that I'm glad I took the plunge and started posting back then.
When I thought about why that is,
I realized once again that it's because
I gained rewards far greater
than the fear I felt before I started posting.
・Mentalreward (realizing the joy of having what I want to convey understood and seeing my world expand)
・Contributionreward (realizing through comments that my articles were useful to someone)
・Trustreward (the number of people reading and connecting with me gradually increased)
・Financialreward (I received tips many times, which was very encouraging)
・Self-understandingreward (I gained insights into what I value, what I am good at, and what I like, and I began to see the direction of the life I truly desire)
・Skillreward (my communication skills gradually improved)
In this way, through continuous posting activities on note, I was able to obtain various rewards, but
just like I was back then,
to you who want to post but are afraid to do so
what I most want to convey in this article,
is about the first point.
On note,
there were people who read my articles.
There were people who received
what I wanted to convey.
Some people gave me likes or comments,
and some connected with me.
For me at that time, who was happy but lonely,
that alone made me very happy,
and it felt like I had gained
another new place to belong.
In short...
The world of note is warm.
So,
I want you to take that first step.
I want you to try conveying what you want to convey.
Because surely someone
will listen to your voice.
That is a truly happy thing.
Because that means
your world
will connect and expand
into a wider, warmer world.

note is a platform with the philosophy of
“Making it possible for anyone to start and continue creating.”
That is precisely why
it is a place where warm people gather, and
Regardless of the number of followers,
such as being featured in recommended articles,
there are plenty of systems in place
so that everyone can continue to enjoy posting.
Like my WordPress blog,
with zero traffic,
there is absolutely no way
that no one will read it.
Without a doubt, what you want to convey
will reach someone's heart!!
So, please,
feel as secure as if you were on a large ship,
and try taking that first step.
I am rooting for you from the bottom of my heart
as you try to take that step
while being honest with your own feelings.
Thank you for reading until the end.
May today be a happy day for you as well.
