[Weekly Short-Short Note] 'Would you like to write a short-short?' Theme Announcement! 11/12
This is an article for a project where I loosely solicit short-short stories every week. If you are new here, I would be happy if you could read this first.
So, this is a project where we use the [Short-Short Note] card game to decide on a theme and write short-short stories as volunteers.
The previous theme was 'Rice Staff, Eat a Koban'. Thank you for all your submissions!
Taraha Selection
Now, here is the 'Weekly Taraha Selection', where I, Tarahakani (Nika Tahara), arbitrarily introduce works from the theme two weeks ago.
Weekly Taraha Selection.
The theme was 'Kind Assassination'. I didn't realize so many literary snipers were operating behind the scenes.
First up is Opo-san!
For this theme, which tends to lean towards suspense, I love the flowing story from the beginning, 'I'll sleep when that star disappears,' to the punchline!
Next is Asa-san!
On the other hand, the story I'm introducing here is a 'didn't see that coming' type. I love the way it ends with an atmosphere that kicks away everything in the punchline!
Next is Akira Yamane-san!
Yamane-san is a writer who has been submitting since the beginning, is active in other works such as poetry, and is an account with far more followers than I have! The Taraha Selection is intended to prioritize introducing new contributors or those who haven't received many likes but were interesting, so for popular people including Yamane-san, I have been watching their success thinking, 'It's interesting again this week, and it's reaching the readers!'
However, reading this work, I felt that this might also be a kind of 'Kind Assassination'... I, Taraha, reflected that I should also select from those who are very popular on note.
By the way, Yamane-san is currently running a project, so if you are interested, please check it out!
The hidden theme was 'New Theory on Crisp Bills'.
First up is shibakaoruko-san!
A new theory on the unexpected [redacted]!
Next is Ritsu-san!
It's interesting from the very first line! I read it all the way to the end in one go.
Next is Tomone-san!
Ah, I don't want to encounter this kind of 'relatable' situation... that's how I felt!
And what is the theme for this week!
Drumroll please
Drumroll please
Ta-da!

What is this week's word cascade?!

So, what is this week's theme?!

I'm not good at historical novels. There must be others who feel the same! Ah, I hear your passionate voices saying, "Me too! Me too!" For those people, here is this.
[I want to give a warning all the time]

Rules & Notes
・Post a short-short of about 410 characters by late night on November 18, 2023
・Add the tag #WeeklyShortShortNote
・Once posts other than mine are confirmed, they will be added to the magazine
・I won't be deciding on a first-place winner! I may introduce them as a Tara-ha Selection!
・I would be happy if you could comment on other people's work! (Copied from the Shirokuma Literature Club project)
Furthermore, this project basically adopts the Masatomo Tamaru method. Rather than a work containing the two words "Sengoku Period" and "Autopilot," I recommend a work about "Autopilot in the Sengoku Period" and how ancient AI worked. By all means, please head somewhere using "Autopilot in the Sengoku Period" in your creative worlds! Well then, I look forward to your work again this week!
This week's quietly, quietly note
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported me!
I'm exhausted from the Tokyo Literature Flea Market...
But I have books left over! This is a disaster!
I look forward to working with you again this week!
