[Weekly Short-Short Note] Theme Announcement! 5/31
This is a project that is loosely accepting short-short stories.
Now, for this week's theme.
I apologize that last week's theme was a scary word like 'servant'.
Let's change the image completely this week.
It's a classic theme that comes around every so often in the Weekly Short-Short Note: a romance theme.
So, here it is!
Theme: [Regret Delivery Person]

Creative Tips!
Continuing the tip corner!
Feel free to use these as a reference, or do the exact opposite.
This time, it's about the opening!
Regret Delivery Person
Openings are difficult, aren't they?
But we are in the golden age of short-short videos.
You have to grab the reader in one second!
Short-short stories are the same.
If the first line doesn't make them think 'What?!', they won't read the rest!
So, what should we do... Let's consider about three patterns!
1. Prepare words that are an extension of the image of the title.
2. Prepare something that doesn't match the image of the title at all.
3. Tell a plausible lie.
Let's start with 1.
It's 'Regret Delivery Person', right? So the reader probably has a vague image that some kind of 'regret' will be delivered.
So, prepare a worldview that extends that a little bit.
Example) Let's try something like delivering an ex-wife, just like a pizza delivery...
[What I loaded onto the back of my motorcycle was the customer's ex-wife.]
It makes the reader wonder what will happen when they arrive at the destination...
2. Next, let's prepare words that don't match the image at all.
Then, the reader might wonder, 'How on earth does that connect to a Regret Delivery Person?' For example...
[Massive tentacles were growing out of the amusement park's Ferris wheel.]
No, no, no, what is starting here? That's the kind of opening it is.
Is it the regret of some kind of supernatural entity?!
3. A plausible lie. This might also be surprisingly useful.
For example, how about this?
['The success rate of the phrase 'let's try again' is 0.5%.']
Oh, is that so? Maybe they'll keep reading to see if there's a secret to success!
I'm not sure if this is helpful, but please try various things!
