Hello! I'm Hitomi Kuma, a creator and mom in her late 30s.
Today, before the fluttering in my chest (not palpitations, but excitement!) settles down, I'm changing my plans to write this because I want to share some huge happy news with you all.
To all the moms and dads who are working hard while suppressing their own 'frustrations' amidst childcare and housework.
And to all my fellow note creators who always watch over me warmly.
Could you stop what you're doing for just a moment and cherish this 'miracle created by creativity' with me?
Agony. The destructive power of a moving Arara was just too much.
Everyone, please listen.
My beloved character 'Arara', modeled after my 4-year-old son (who has an ASD diagnosis and ADHD & DCD traits).
Last week, his debut song 'Hey, Listen to Me', written and composed by Ru-chan, was born, and my heart was already filled beyond capacity.
The thoughts of Ru-chan who created it👇
'Ah, what a gentle song...' I had been listening to it like a protective charm while being tossed about by the rough waves of neurodivergent parenting.
And then.
Can you believe it?
We even made an MV (music video)!!!
It was produced by Maki-san, the manager of the Takars Agency.
Speaking of Maki-san,
she is the brilliant manager who keeps this group of unique individuals together (I already think of her as the vice president).
Amidst her busy management activities,
she made this with love, saying it was 'for Arara who is doing her best.'
I heard the news on an afternoon when my heart was starting to turn gray, as I was struggling with complicated application procedures to increase the number of days for therapy and various issues at daycare.
The moment I saw the notification,
“Wait, what!?”
My frozen facial muscles relaxed in a second (lol).
My first words when I checked the screen in the evening were these.
“She's mooooving!!!!!”
Please look at this cuteness.
A moving Arara is, to put it mildly, an angel.
Maki-san, thank you so, so much...! (crying)
February is experiencing a traffic jam of miracles.
Actually, I was planning to post a review of February in a relaxed way today.
But I just couldn't help but share this excitement!
Miracle #1: The birth of a gem of a debut song by Ru-chan.
Miracle #2: The completion of an MV filled with love by Maki-san.
To be honest, raising a child with developmental differences is a series of hitting walls, thinking, 'Why only us?' or 'Why doesn't it go well?'
But by being in the warm place that is the Takars Agency, I was able to see such wonderful scenery. It was a moment where I realized I don't have to do it all alone.
To all the moms and dads who are trying too hard
When you are struggling every day with raising a child with special needs, it is easy to put yourself last, isn't it?
But knowing that someone is watching over your efforts and cheering you on like this,
It is amazing how just that makes you think, 'Maybe I can try a little harder tomorrow.'
I hope that Arara's song and video will bring a gentle breeze to the hearts of not only me, but all of you who are hanging in there just the same.
※I will share more about the 'Miracle of February' in a recap article to be posted this evening. I will also share the behind-the-scenes story of how this MV was born again later.
Please look forward to it!
