Detective Fee Discount System for Victim Relief
When you encounter fraud, unpaid refunds, or online troubles, the first thing that hits you might not be "what should I do?" but rather "I can't tell anyone."
Was it my fault?
Could I have noticed sooner?
Even if I consult someone, will they believe me?
Many people find themselves unable to move forward as these feelings weigh them down.
Moreover, anxiety about money often increases precisely after you have become a victim.
Having had money taken, not receiving a refund, and being emotionally drained—thinking about the possibility of "additional investigation costs" on top of that leads some to give up on seeking help altogether.
However, that is when things become truly difficult.
As time passes, information that should be organized—such as message history, remittance records, the flow of interactions, and traces of the other party—can become buried. Even if you are confused immediately after the incident, it is not rare to look back later and feel, "I wish I had organized this sooner."
Here, I would like to introduce an example reconstructed based on actual consultation trends.
One person was told by someone they met on social media that the money would "definitely be returned" and that it was "just a temporary advance," leading them to send money several times. Although they felt something was wrong along the way, they wanted to believe the other party's explanation and could not act immediately.
However, even after the scheduled refund date passed, no money was deposited, communication gradually became vague, and before they knew it, their messages were no longer even being read.
What that person was suffering from most was not just the loss of money.
"Was my judgment wrong?"
"Will I be blamed if I consult someone?"
Thinking this way, it became painful for them to even look back at the interactions that could serve as evidence.
However, what was actually needed at this stage was not to blame oneself, but to organize the situation.
When, with whom, what kind of interactions took place, what remains, and what is missing? By confirming the facts one by one rather than focusing on emotions, it becomes easier to see the next steps to take.
Against this background, the Detective Corporation Investigation Association has established a "Victim Relief Discount" that reduces investigation fees by 10% under certain conditions for those facing financial troubles such as fraud or unpaid refunds, as well as victims of stalking, harassment, domestic violence, workplace harassment, and online fraud. Furthermore, there is an "Initial Response Support Plan" to encourage action shortly after the discovery of the damage, which also reduces the initial investigation fee by 10%.
We also have a livelihood support discount system for single parents, women aged 18 to 29, people over 60, and holders of disability certificates, taking into account cases where costs become a major barrier due to personal circumstances. These are not applied automatically but are determined after interviews and confirmation of necessary documents.
The important thing is
"I'm in trouble but I can't consult because I'm worried about the cost"
not to get stuck in that state.
A consultation does not necessarily mean you have to decide to hire us on the spot.
The first step is to organize the situation and learn what options are available to you right now.
If you are currently struggling with fraud, unpaid refunds, or online troubles and feel like you "want to act but can't," simply knowing that these systems exist might be a form of help in itself.
