When an article isn't being read, many people rewrite the body text.

But usually, that's not where the problem lies.

5 things to look at before you rewrite.

You don't have to do all of them.
If one of them catches your attention, that's the cause.

Who is this article for?

This is the most important part.

"For note beginners" is still too broad.

Can you picture that person's face?

If you can't, your words won't resonate with anyone.

Does your title make them stop?

When you are scrolling on your smartphone,
would this title make you stop your finger?


Try to imagine when you click on
online news or articles yourself.


Whether the body text gets read
is almost entirely decided by the title.


If you rewrite the body while this is still weak,
you won't see any change.

Can they think "This is about me"
in the first 3 lines?

Readers leave within the first few lines.


The moment they open it,
are the words in the reader's head already there?


If this matches,
they will keep reading.

Is there only one thing you want to say per article?

If you have three things you want to convey,
usually nothing sticks.

After reading this article,
what do you want the reader to think for it to be a success?


If you can't say that in one sentence,
it's faster to split the article.

◽️ Check 5 The order of fixing

Just one last thing.
When making revisions, go in order from the top.

Decide who it is for.
Fix the title.
Fix the first three lines.


The phrasing of the main body comes after that.


It is quite mean that the part you most want to spend time on
is the very last thing to do.
But conversely,


these are all things you can change starting today,


even without becoming a better writer.
