The Reason for Making Mini-Art

I want to give words that let you be yourself

I started my leave of absence in March 2024. It has been about eight months since then, and I have been encountering people and places every day that I could never have imagined when I first started.
Recently, I often find myself thinking,

“If I hadn't taken this leave, I would never have met this person or that person.”

Thinking about the future I wouldn't have had makes me feel lonely, and I have come to truly love the path of “taking a leave of absence” that I chose for myself.

These past eight months have been a bumpy road, and I feel like there were pitfalls here and there, and sometimes the ground was so overgrown with grass and rocks that I couldn't move forward,

but even so, as I took it one step at a time, hammering and building my path, I met wonderful people, and I am very happy and blessed to have many places I can call home, not just one, all over the country. Yaizu is one of my homes.
And,

during my leave,

at each moment, I received many words that were like charms to warm my heart, words that
let me spread my wings and be myself. Those words have been written down in my diary every day, and when I look back at them from time to time, they have become something precious that gently pushes me forward.

I received words from the people I met, and those words saved me. So, I thought I would like to share those words with people who need them.

This mini-art was born from the overlapping of those thoughts, ideas, and timing.

For the Nobi-Pro exhibition and sale, I have added a lot of text to the mini-art, focusing on the words I collected on the shopping street in front of Yaizu Station since I started my leave, as well as words I gathered throughout these eight months.

To you who can't seem to move forward with what you want to do
These are words I received from a father in Yaizu in May 2024.

I want to preserve the feeling of being free and at ease as something precious

A canvas that captures the moments when I played freely and at ease with children and paint.

The reason I am going out of my way to remake it isbecause I want to preserve the “time and memories of being free and at ease” that I spun with the children in a circle that gathered people from the community, both young and old, as something precious. The reason the children and I were able to be so free and at ease is thanks to the kind gazes and warm smiles of everyone who gathered. And perhaps the reason everyone who gathered was so warm is because they were warmed by the children's free and relaxed demeanor.

A collaboration with a special canvas born from a warm space created by local children and everyone who watches over our activities.

I feel like the children's free, boundary-defying brushstrokes are even supporting the meaning of the words.

Let's all be free and at ease, both children and adults! This one-of-a-kind mini-art will be unveiled soon!

For those of you who are nervous about trying it out.
It's a waste to just leave it as a dream.

Mini art will be sold for three days from November 16th to 18th at "Minna no Kominkan Maru" on the Yaizu station front shopping street.
The hours are from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

They are postcard-sized, 500 yen each, and limited to 50 pieces.
Why not drop by Minna no Kominkan Maru to see that special piece?🌱

Please pick up the artwork and try to imagine the children's "carefree" expressions along with it.

The painting on the canvas and the words.
