[CPH#1] The Land of My Dreams, Copenhagen

Whenever I'm asked which country I want to visit, I immediately answer, 'Denmark! Copenhagen!' It's a country I've longed to visit for so long 🇩🇰

By a miraculous stroke of luck, I was able to go with my mother and sister (my father stayed behind to watch the house). It was a last-minute trip, decided just one month before departure.

Arrived safely ✈︎
First, we head to the hotel.
My heart won't stop racing just from the casual streetscapes.

Our accommodation was at [Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn], surrounded by canals about 5 to 10 minutes from Nordhavn Station.

I was debating whether to stay in the city center, but I'm so glad we chose this place! It was a quiet, calm area, and transportation was not an issue at all.

After dropping off our luggage, we came to a famous cafe a short walk from the hotel. It has a cozy, warm atmosphere.

The shop is bustling with locals.
While waiting, my expectations just kept rising.

Top marks for the visuals.
And of course, the taste is 120 points. This butter (left) in particular was pure bliss.

It's just too good... (Except for the prices).
I can see why it's popular, as there are several other locations. Now that we're full, next we'll take the metro and walk around the city.

[GANNI POST MODERN]
I was looking forward to this place because I heard you can get GANNI archive items at reasonable prices.

When you go inside, the store is very open.
Products are lined up everywhere. In addition to clothes, there was a wide selection of shoes, bags, and small leather goods.

I picked up a long dress (black) with the logo scattered all over it. It seems perfect for everyday use as well as for going out. If you love GANNI, this is a shop you should visit at least once. Highly recommended.

Next, we head to a gallery nearby.
[O – Overgaden Institut for Samtidskunst]

A quiet art gallery where you can take your time enjoying contemporary art. They feature up-and-coming artists and hold eight exhibitions a year.

What left a particularly strong impression was a piece that utilized the entire space for its expression. I heard they use waste materials (cardboard and old cloth) and assemble them by hand (cutting, folding, and bundling). I am very satisfied to have enjoyed this much for free.

Leaving the gallery, I continued my walk through the city.

On the way, I saw an open-air clothing sale.
It was like something out of a painting...🎨 I was surprised by the sight, which is not something you see in Japan. It was a heart-fluttering scene.

Why is it so fun just to walk around? I felt like summer in Copenhagen was wrapped in a warm atmosphere.
