Tales is now accepting submissions for the Entertainment Original Work category and Novel categories (Mystery/Horror/Romance/Workplace/Fantasy) for the "Creative Award 2025."
Starting Tuesday, April 22, we will begin accepting submissions for the "Creative Award 2025," co-hosted by note and Tales.Story submission site Tales will now be accepting submissions for the Novel categories (Mystery/Horror/Romance/Workplace/Fantasy) in addition to the Entertainment Original Work category, which was previously accepting early entries.
What is the Creative Award?
This is one of Japan's largest creative contests, co-hosted by note and Tales, covering works of all genres. Established with the goal of discovering future star creators and introducing their talents to the world, this marks the fourth year of the event.
To date, the Creative Award has received a total of 103,579 submissions, resulting in 18 works being adapted into books, films, stage productions, or serialized. Please stay tuned for the moment when new talents take flight once again.

Awards and Prize Money

1. Media Award (a few winners per media) | Main Prize: Commemorative gift, Supplementary Prize: 100,000 yen
Winning works will be assigned a representative from the selecting media to discuss publication in media (web media, magazines), book adaptation, serialization, or screen adaptation.
*The handling of winning works varies by media. For details, please see the special website (https://note.com/creative-award).
2. note Award (a few winners) | Main Prize: Commemorative gift, Supplementary Prize: 100,000 yen
Selected by the note management office from works submitted to the All Categories section.
Winning works will receive support, such as being introduced to media, through the note Creator Support Program (https://note.jp/n/ne63ac7ade641).
3. Selected Work (a few winners) | Main Prize: Commemorative gift, Supplementary Prize: 10,000 yen
Selected regardless of category. Some works may also be assigned a media representative.
4. Reader Award (a few winners) | Main Prize: Commemorative gift, Supplementary Prize: 10,000 yen
A few works with high popularity among readers will be selected, regardless of category.
5. Best Reviewer Award (about 10 winners) | Amazon Gift Card worth 3,000 yen
Selected from those who post their impressions of Creative Award submissions on note with the hashtag "#CreativeAwardImpressions" or share them on X.

Unlike note, you must select the category you are applying for on the work information page.
When applying, please be sure to check the following two points to ensure your entry is successful.
Public settings for each episode are required. Please confirm that all episodes you are entering are set to public.
Please confirm that "#CreativeAward2025 [Category Name]" is displayed under "Participating Contests" on the work editing page.
