[15,822 Yen in Passive Income] Overturning the idea that 'high-dividend stocks are a hassle'! The reality of aiming for quarterly dividends with a global high-dividend index fund with a 0.055% trust fee
A dividend payment of 15,822 yen
I received a dividend notification a little while ago! It feels special to have money deposited on a day other than payday!
Looking at the amount alone, it's not a staggering sum of money.
However, when you think of it as passive income that money brought in by working on its own, rather than 'compensation for labor' earned by using your own body, it's more exciting than payday.
When it comes to high-dividend stock investing, don't you have the image that 'it's hard to pick and buy many stocks yourself' or 'managing them is a pain'?

For people who are busy with work and daily life (myself included), it's quite difficult to spend time checking stock prices and analyzing stocks every day.
So, for a selfish person like me who is 'lazy but still wants a regular cash reward (dividends),' I started buying this a few years ago:
'SBI Global High Dividend Stock (Quarterly Distribution Type)'
It is an active investment trust.
You might hear people say, 'Active funds that pay dividends are high-fee products for the uninformed,' but times have changed.

Surprisingly, the trust fee for this product is a phenomenal
0.055%
It is an ultra-low cost that is almost at the same level as that All Country fund.
Compared to the image of high-cost distribution funds from the past, the times have truly changed.
With just this one product, you can invest in a wide range of 'high-quality companies with high dividend yields' all over the world.
Because it is structured so that 'even if one company fails, the others can make up for it,' it is also characterized by an extremely low risk of a major collapse.
I personally understand it as something like 'All Country with dividends'.

Moreover, having it bring me pocket money regularly four times a year—in February, May, August, and November—is the best way to maintain my daily motivation.
As for the performance I'm curious about, the distribution per 10,000 units has consistently maintained a dividend growth trend even recently.
The net asset value itself has also grown healthily from the 10,000 yen at inception to the 13,000 yen range.
It is proof that it is returning the results of its management properly, rather than a 'cannibalizing dividend' that forcibly cuts into the principal to pay out.

If you want to grow your assets like a snowball as quickly as possible, a regular index accumulation plan without dividends is the strongest.
But,
'Receiving regular passive income to make the present a little richer'
I believe that this option is also very valid for maintaining the discipline to hold investments for a long time.

By buying just one, you are diversified across the world, the costs are among the lowest, and you get pocket money four times a year. For a lazy person like me, it's, to put it mildly, the best!
I intend to keep holding it in parallel with the other pillar of my high-dividend investment trusts,
the SBI/V US High Dividend Equity Index Fund.
The purpose of investing is different for everyone. Let's all build the 'system that excites us the most'!
