I Give Up (Short-Short)
This is takewoody.
It has become a weekly tradition, the 15th theme for the "Amano Writing Club" is "I give up"
Can I write one this time too? I'll put my brain into full gear and write whatever comes to mind.
Well then, please enjoy this impromptu short-short.
◆I give up (Short-Short) (720 characters)
Every Tuesday at 6:30 AM,the "Amano Writing Club" theme is announced.
I look forward to it every week.
And to put my intuition and imagination to work,
I write it out by clacking away on my computer as fast as I can,
without thinking too deeply.
After that, while I am |polishing≪revising≫ it,
the story I wrote once often changes,
or I might end up with two ideas for the story's development or ending.
In such cases, I sometimes post twice a week with the same theme but different stories.
And I feel like the faster I write, the better the result is.
When I finish writing on Tuesday, the day the theme is announced, it feels like a Friday night.
It's the same level of satisfaction as a salaryman who has finished this week's work on a Tuesday.
Since writing the first "Cream Puff Love",
I realized that romantic stories between men and women are easy for me to write.
So, I struggle a lot when the theme is difficult to turn into a romance story.
To write it within this week, I want to have it roughly finished by Friday.
I don't want to end up like a sleep-deprived writer chased by deadlines.
This time, the "Amano Writing Club" theme is"I give up"
I can't connect it to a romance story at all.
I try to use my imagination to think of something else, but nothing comes up.
The "Amano Writing Club" has managed to keep me writing in a short-short style every time since the first "Cream Puff Love".
I often find recent themes difficult,
but I usually manage to finish writing by Thursday.
And today is Thursday.
I can't get an image of what I should write.
Whoa, no ideas are coming out! I am truly in a"state of giving up"
Wait? Doesn't this fit the theme perfectly?
I couldn't write well with this week's theme,"I give up"
It seems like a good place to end.
The End
◆Afterword
This one was difficult too.
Instead of the usual dialogue format between a man and a woman,
it became a short-short that feels like a monologue.
On Tuesday, when this week's theme was announced, I was in the middle of a hot spring trip,
so I couldn't get to my computer right away.
I was wondering what to do, and then it was already Thursday.
I thought, "I guess I'm at a loss," and in that moment,
I decided, "Oh well, I'll just write this," and it turned out like this.
I was able to have fun writing this time too by using my imagination to the fullest.
I hope you enjoy the world of fantasy and the world of novels.
Thank you for reading until the end.
See you later.

◆Last week, the 14th theme was "Shut up"
I would be happy if you read that one too.
