Anxiety is the strongest item‼️
Anxiety is the strongest🫨💪
Anxiety (English: anxiety, uneasiness) refers to feeling worried or afraid. It also refers to a vague, unsettling mental state that is neither fear nor expectation, or the feeling that something bad might happen (anticipatory anxiety).
Inexperience means you've never done it before😅
That's when anxiety starts to attack you💦
When you try to challenge yourself with something new, don't you always get hit by anxiety?🤔
Well, since you've never done it, you can't imagine it💭
You end up thinking, "I wonder if I'll fail..."
For example, with a first project, a job at a new workplace, or when your friendships change, don't you worry, "Will this really go well?😟" when it's all something you haven't experienced before?
However, this anxiety is a natural reaction to the unknown.
Because you don't know what the future holds🔮, you can't imagine it because you can't see ahead, so you end up worrying😌
But looking back, haven't you overcome many inexperienced situations so far?
The feeling of "Can I do it?😰" is, in other words, a sign that "Something might change if I take a step forward!"💪🌱
Situations where you feel anxious might be the very chance for you to change! If you can think of it that way, your feelings might become a little lighter🌈😌
And interestingly, that anxiety is often betrayed in a good way😆
Anxiety from inexperience
It's natural for the thought "Will I be able to do it properly?" to cross your mind the night before doing something for the first time, right?🤔💭
For example, when you have your first presentation or are assigned a new role, anxiety wells up like, "What if I fail?😣" or "Won't I be a bother to everyone?💦"
You feel the same kind of anxiety when you participate in a gathering of people you're meeting for the first time, too😟.
You worry, "Will I be able to talk properly?" or "Won't I stand out?" and it becomes scary to take that first step.
I think this is because every time you have a new experience, you feel fear toward an unseen future.
But you know, I think that anxiety might actually be the gateway to growth✨🚪😊.
Looking back
If I look back a little, I've faced first-time situations many times before, and while I felt anxious, I've overcome them.
Entering elementary school, meeting new friends for the first time, my first part-time job—they were all full of nervousness at first💦
I was also super shy in my student days, and the night before my first part-time job was nothing but tension and anxiety😅
My heart was pounding as I thought, "Will I be able to learn the work properly?" or "Won't I be rude to the customers?"
But once I started the job, the anxiety gradually disappeared, and before I knew it, it had become a part of my daily life.
Yes, anxiety often turns out to be surprisingly unfounded.
If anything, it makes you realize that things usually work out somehow.
Every time I try something new, anxiety bubbles up, but every time I overcome it, I gain confidence and perhaps I am growing✨
The friends I made at my part-time job back then have become my best friends ( ´艸`)
The moment you are pleasantly surprised
Also, when I took on the role of event organizer for the first time, I was full of anxiety, thinking, 'What if I fail?' or 'What if everyone doesn't have a good time?'...
But when I actually did it, people said, 'That was so much fun!' and 'Ask me again next time!', giving me unexpectedly high praise.
In this way, anxiety often surprises you in a good way. I think these experiences lead to the next bit of confidence😊
Accumulating successful experiences is so important (⋈◍>◡<◍)。✧♡
Before an important presentation, I was terrified that I might forget everything, but when the actual time came, it went smoother than expected, and I even ended up being praised for it.
The moment when the anxiety you felt at first is betrayed in a good way is something that could become a bit addictive😁.
Anxiety gives you a chance to grow
I've come to think that feeling anxious might just be proof that I'm trying to challenge myself.
And because there is anxiety, I prepare carefully, which gives me the strength to motivate myself.
Even at work, the pressure of taking on a new project makes me want to prepare thoroughly and do my best, and that anxiety ultimately leads to growth.
Possibilities for the future, taught by anxiety
I think the reason we feel anxious is because, somewhere deep down, we are hoping that something good might happen ahead.
If you weren't expecting anything at all, you probably wouldn't even feel anxious😌.
That's why, when you feel anxious, it might be worth looking at the possibilities hidden behind it.
If you know that most of your anxiety won't actually happen, doesn't it make your heart feel a little lighter? I don't know for sure, though (lol)
However, I truly believe that anxiety is your greatest ally, an energy that guides you toward a better future.
In most cases, anxiety surprises you in a good way.
That is exactly why I feel I can make anxiety my ally and take the next step.
As a side note...
I am writing this on the train back from Naritasan Shinshoji Temple in Chiba Prefecture on October 23rd. Actually, I had a fortune teller at the temple read my fortune.
Me: 'I am currently running three businesses.'
Fortune Teller: 'No, I think you'll probably be doing about five.'
Me: 'Seriously!?'
Fortune Teller: 'Well, you're the type who would do charity work or something similar without even thinking about the profit if you felt like doing it.'
Me: 'I see, that makes sense.'
I suppose the day will come when I start something new again... I wonder what it will be! I'm nervous about it!😅
