Stop Being Pushed Around. Draw Boundaries and Live as the 'True You'
Introduction: To you who has realized that feeling of 'I'm just so tired'
Before you know it,
you are constantly walking on eggshells around others.
You read the room and swallow the things you want to say.
You are so considerate of others that you put yourself last.
──In such a daily life, isn't your heart gradually wearing thin?
'Is it okay to keep going like this?'
'I want to live more like myself'
Even while thinking that, for some reason, you can't find the courage.
You end up forcing yourself to keep living that way.
It is not your fault.
It may just be that your 'emotional boundaries' were a little bit blurred.
The reason why you get hurt even though you thought you communicated your thoughts
You said, 'This is what I think,' but the other person denied it.
A single argument made your confidence waver.
Have you ever had an experience like that?
Originally, 'having your own opinion' should be a wonderful thing.
However, the reason it turns into suffering is──
because you are unconsciously living with an 'other-centered' focus.
'What will others think of me?' comes first
You think 'my opinion is correct' and force it on others
You feel anxious when you feel 'I am not understood'
These are all states where you are entrusting your value and emotions to the 'outside.'
In other words, a state where the outline of 'me' has become blurred.
The new 'other-centered' pressure of 'I must be self-centered'
Here, please stop for a moment and think.
The phrase 'live with a self-centered focus' that you hear often lately.
Actually, isn't that becoming a new kind of pressure?
'I have to be more like myself'
'I have to be someone who isn't swayed by others'
"I'm not good enough because I'm not living by my own standards."
──When you start thinking like that, even "living by your own standards" becomes something to be judged, and you drift far away from your original purpose.
The true "self-axis" is not something you
"work hard to become," but rather "a place you gently return to."
The true self-axis is born from "emotional boundaries"
So, how can you "return to yourself"?
The keyword is emotional boundaries.
Do not overreact to what others say
Do not take on others' problems as your own responsibility
Fully feel your own emotions yourself first
When you can do that,
you will be able to move through "choice" rather than "reaction."
And you will gradually be able to let go of even the
"need to be understood."
Toward a day when you can think, "I was enough just as I was"
Perhaps you have already worked hard enough.
You have tried to fit in with others, read the room, and be a good person.
But it is okay to say goodbye to that struggle now.
Choose your life based on "how you feel" rather than "what others think of you."
A place for you to return to yourself
I, too, was once bound by "correctness" and "others' expectations."
But I broke free from that and
changed to a "relaxed, free, and comfortable way of living."
If your heart is even a little tired right now, or
if you feel like "something is off"──
that feeling is already enough of a "sign that it's time to start."
