How I Found 3 Trust Factors to Write on an LP Despite Having Zero Track Record
Today's thumbnail is Taka choosing freshly baked bread at a bakery🥐
“I haven't sold this product yet,
and I have no track record to show with numbers...”
I was trying to write an LP for a new product,
and my hand stopped completely
in front of the 'Trust' heading.
Since I have zero direct track record,
I thought I could just leave this blank.
Just as I was about to decide that,
I looked back at my profile section,
and that was the turning point.
I felt like there was nothing I could write in the 'Trust' section
Sales writing books listed
many examples
as materials for trust.
Customer testimonials, endorsements,
media coverage, sales records, and awards.
No matter which one I looked at,
I had no numbers to show
for this new product.
Since it's a product I haven't sold yet,
that's only natural.
There's nothing I can write here.
The moment I convinced myself of that,
my writing hand stopped completely.

I looked back at my Udemy profile and had an epiphany
I put my pen down once,
and for a change of pace,
I looked back at my Udemy profile section.
What was written there
was content like this.
“Using GAS to
reduce tasks that took 10 hours a month
to less than 30 minutes a month
with a single button click”
“In charge of system infrastructure
for member management and payment integration
in online communities of 10 to 100 people”
Oh.
I can write things like this.
Even if the numbers for the new product are zero,
I had information on hand
to help people get to know me.
3 materials I could write even for a product with zero track record
When I tried writing them out again,
I found 3 materials
that I could put in the trust section.
Disclosure of process
Writing exactly what I am working on now,
such as my daily Note updates
and Udemy course production
Stating your stance
How you approach your clients.
Putting into words your commitment to
automation that continues to be used in the field.
Indirect background
Experience in business automation using GAS and
managing system infrastructure for
online communities.
Even if it's not directly related to the product,
it conveys your character.
None of these are flashy numbers.
However, when I was in the position of a buyer,
this was exactly the kind of information
I wanted to know most.
By the way, my landing page is
built with Systeme.io, and the entire process of
building the system is explained in my
Udemy course (free coupon available until 4/30).
It's better to have impressive achievements, but
Of course, if you have impressive achievements,
there is more you can write.
"Number of clients" or "Millions in sales" are
strong assets.
However, the idea that you can't write a landing page
until you have achievements
was just an assumption.
Even without direct product results,
you can write about information that helps people know you
and your indirect background.
Trust can be built from zero.
Realizing that was
my biggest takeaway.
What kind of materials do you have on hand?
If you are stuck on your landing page or profile
thinking, "I can't write anything because I have no achievements,"
try putting down your pen for a moment
and look back at
your profile section!
Everything you have worked on so far
and your current stance
are excellent materials for building trust.
I want to apply this realization
Systeme.iowhen I rebuild
my own landing page.
