For those who wonder, 'I keep hearing about Claude lately, but what's so good about it?'

I've been hearing the name Claude quite often lately.

I sort of know about ChatGPT, but I don't really understand what's good about Claude or how it differs from ChatGPT.

I'm writing this today for those who are curious about that.

Today, I'll talk about the things I feel are great about Claude, as someone who uses it every day.

First, I feel it's easy to communicate with.

Using it every day, the first thing I notice is that it picks up on my intentions.

I do use ChatGPT occasionally, though.

In my experience, I feel that Claude is better at understanding what I'm trying to say.

Even if I can't put it into words well and end up explaining it a bit strangely,

I have the impression that Claude properly understands what I mean.

This isn't something I can show with numbers; it's just my personal experience.

However, when you talk to this partner every day, there's a sense of security in knowing that you can really communicate.

If you're curious, don't overthink it; just try using it for research or a quick consultation.

I think you'll understand this ease of communication as soon as you try it.

It works for me with just a 'do this'

Another thing I like is that I can have it remember procedures I've taught it once.

'When I say this, do it this way'

If you have it learn those arrangements in advance,

from then on, it will perform the same task with just a short phrase.

You won't have to explain things in detail every single time.

This way of teaching it procedures
is called a skill.

By the way, this skill
has now spread
to ChatGPT as well.

However,
it was Claude
that introduced this new way of using it
first.

This is my favorite part.

And what I feel
is the best part
starts here.

Claude has
a way of being used
where it can directly open,
read, and add to files
on your computer.

Since regular chat interactions
are centered on conversation,
they cannot reach
the files on your computer.

But,
when you use it in an environment where it can directly touch files,
things change.

"Organize these documents for me."
"Add this to this list."
"Summarize the necessary parts
from these many documents."

You can even entrust it
with such actual tasks.

When you combine it with
the way of teaching it procedures mentioned earlier,

you can have it reflect
routine tasks directly into files
with just a word.

For engineers,
there is a tool
called Claude Code.

For those who are not,
an entry point called Cowork
is provided.

It is designed so that
even if you don't know programming,
it can touch
the files on your own computer.

In other words,
you can ask it to perform tasks on your computer
without having to do difficult settings.

This is a way of using it that ChatGPT does not currently have.

What's interesting is that
this way of using it
is not currently possible
with standard ChatGPT.

The basic form for ChatGPT
is to upload and provide
the files.

There is a mechanism for developers
that can directly touch files
in ChatGPT as well, though.

For those who don't know programming,
there isn't anything
that is easy to use at the moment.

What they can actually do
is becoming more similar
between ChatGPT and Claude every year.

Among them,
my impression is that
Claude is often the one
to introduce new ways of using it first.

Being able to try
new things first
is an interesting part of using it.

That's why I
continue to use
Claude as my main tool.

If you are curious
about what makes Claude good.

First, try it out
with a casual consultation.

I think it would be fun
if you could gradually increase
what you can do from there 😊
