I diagnosed my own LP with '4 parts' and found two were completely missing

🌸
I wonder if my LP
is properly designed
After 10 days of
learning sales writing,
that question
popped into my head.
I decided to take a straight look
at the page I created
from the perspective of the 4 parts
I had learned.
When I opened it up,
out of the 4 slots that should have been lined up,
2 of them
didn't even exist.
I tried hand-drawing a 4-part checklist
First, I used
just a piece of A4 paper.
In order from the top,
Catch Copy,
Body Copy,
Closing,
Postscript.
I wrote these 4 slots.
These are the 4 parts that make up an LP,
and each has a different role.
I displayed the opt-in page
I made for my own systemization course
on the screen,
and went down the list
fitting it into the slots on the paper.
The top two were weak, but they existed
The catch copy section
is filled in, at least.
'How to build a system
that sells automatically from scratch'
It's rough, even by my own standards.
Who is it for?
What changes if you read it?
It hardly conveys anything.
Still, as a part,
it exists properly.
It's weak, but
it's there.
Next, to the body copy.
This is also written, at least.
'You will be able to
deliver your skills automatically'
'It can be completed
with just one computer'
Fragments of benefits and
fragments of features
were mixed together.
It's still clumsy, but
there is content.
The bottom two didn't exist in any form
The problem was the third slot.
I looked for the
closing section,
but I couldn't find
any text that looked like one anywhere.
All that was there was
a blue button that said 'Click here to apply'
and
the input form.
Why now?
What will I receive when I register?
The things I wanted to write
as a final push
were completely missing.
Next is the fourth part: the postscript.
Even if you scroll
to the very bottom of the page,
not even a single sentence of a P.S.
was written.
There was nothing to reach
those who skimmed
to the bottom.
Out of the 4 parts,
the bottom two were completely missing
.
I realized that being weak and being 'non-existent' are completely different
Before the diagnosis, I
thought I had written
every part reasonably well.
However, when I laid them out on paper,
the catch and body
were just weak, but they had form.
The closing and postscript
had no form at all.
Weak parts
can be improved by rewriting.
Choose different words
and replace them with benefits.
That makes them decent enough.
But 'non-existent' parts
cannot be filled by rewriting.
They need to be added from scratch.
The moment I realized this difference,
what I needed to do
suddenly became clear!
By the way, my LP is
made with Systeme.io, and
the construction of the entire system is
explained in my Udemy course (free coupon available until 4/30).
I changed the order
I reordered my
work priorities like this.
First, add a one-sentence postscript,
then add the closing.
After that, refine the body copy,
and finally, polish the catch copy.
If it were the old me,
I would have started
with the catch copy first.
I was convinced that
the part that is seen first
is the most important.
However, as long as there are
non-existent parts,
no matter how much you polish the text above,
the reader has nowhere
to land at the end.
Even if they reach the bottom,
there are no words to push them,
so they just close the page.
I realized that I had been
repeating that.
Please start by diagnosing your 4 parts
If you have also
written an LP yourself,
before you rewrite it, try
diagnosing it with the 4 parts!
Catchphrase
Body copy
Closing
Postscript
Just by lining up these four
and applying them to your own page,
you can immediately see
where it is weak
and what is missing entirely.
Weak parts just need to be polished,
and missing parts must be added.
Just knowing that
the type of action required is different
will determine your next move.
I am starting bySysteme.ioadding a postscript and closing
to the opt-in page I created.
With just a sheet of paper and a pen, you can diagnose it right now!
