Adobe Firefly / The Problem of Why It Only Gives Me Unwanted Asian Aesthetics

I have been using Adobe's AI image generation service, Firefly, for two years to create covers for my self-published novels. This time, I would like to write about the "clumsiness" (lol) of Firefly.

I want to create a cover for my work on AlphaPolis.

I am currently serializing a BL novel on AlphaPolis titled "The Rewound Reincarnator Goes to Get a Happy Ending with a Fujoshi!" Please come and read it if you'd like.

For novels posted on AlphaPolis, authors can upload and register a cover image they have prepared themselves.
The cover thumbnail image is displayed small on the work's top page, and you can also view it in the original size used for registration by clicking on it.

If the author does not provide a cover, the default AlphaPolis cover is displayed, but... well... um... I don't want to speak ill of it, but... it's tacky... *mumble*... Especially the Romance and BL genres... they are so tacky that my stomach hurts and my muscles feel like they're going to spasm...

Ah, this is just my personal opinion. There might be people who think, "It's super cute! I'll go with this default cover again this time!" Yeah, that's fine; likes and dislikes are subjective. The default covers have simple illustrations prepared for each genre, so they are easy to understand, and they have their own charm, yeah, yeah...

That's why I prepare my own covers every time, but...
I have even less talent for drawing than I do for writing.

I chose Firefly out of the many AI generation services because its copyright issues are clean.
Other AI generation services incorporate artists' pictures published on the internet into their learning materials without permission, which has led to lawsuits over copyright infringement.
But because Firefly carefully selects the sources for its AI learning, there is no such worry. (This applies to Adobe models like Image 3 or 4. Please note that other partner models are separate media.)

I don't want to use images made by stealing someone else's art.
That's why Ichika always relies on Firefly when getting cover art for her novels.

But you know, this Firefly is quite difficult.
It's not like you can just input a text prompt and get a beautiful illustration in an instant.
I struggle with the AI every time, to the point where I feel like flipping the table.

Ichika's novels are usually fantasy, set in a world with a European atmosphere, so I want it to produce beautiful Western-style castles, scenery, or beautiful Western-style young men in aristocratic costumes...

But Firefly only gives me Asian aesthetics!

I want to make Firefly sit down and give it a lecture for only giving me kimonos.

For this cover art, I first thought about having Tristan, the seme (top) of "The Rewound Reincarnator Goes to Get a Happy Ending with a Fujoshi!" generated.
Tristan is a cool and handsome duke with slightly unusual black hair. The setting is a medieval European-style fantasy world. I am, of course, imagining costumes that are as glamorous as those of European aristocrats.

So, I mainly entered prompts like this.

"A young, beautiful white man like a Russian Blue, wearing 18th-century French aristocratic clothing. A sorrowful expression. Long hair that is black-based with nebula-like purple and green sparkles, swaying in the wind."

I included "18th-century France" to avoid Asian aesthetics. So it doesn't have to be France... It just shouldn't be Asian, but since Firefly can't use negative prompts (elements you don't want), I tried including a specific country...
"White man" is included because if I don't, there's a high probability that a person with dark skin will appear. (Just to be clear, this is not racism. It's just that the Tristan I'm trying to create is Caucasian-looking.)
Also, I included "Russian Blue" in the prompt because I had used it before and a Western-style man appeared, so I tried it again, but...

I was completely defeated.
Here are the results.

Even though I included "18th-century France," for some reason, it's full of Asian-style kimonos and hairstyles.
And the one on the far left, that's a woman, right?
And the second from the left, why is he dancing with a dragon?
Next to that, the atmosphere of the waves is like Katsushika Hokusai. And this person, no matter how you look at it, is not a white man.
The one on the far right is better than the others, but he looks like a girl.

Sigh...

And even though I write 'white male,' it gives me a girl.

At the time, I was subscribed to a plan that gave me 100 generations per month, but 100 generations disappear in the blink of an eye.

Anyway, after that, I managed to generate Tristan, so I tried generating an illustration of a different scene.

I wanted an illustration of the protagonist and Tristan in their childhood, playing innocently in the 'Spirit Land' where they first met, so I tried generating it.

The main prompt was as follows.
'This is old Germany. The background is a flower field, and an old German castle can be seen in the distance. Two white boys are playing happily together, laughing in the flower field. They are wearing luxurious noble costumes.'

It doesn't have to be Germany. It could be France or England. Actually, since it's a fantasy world, I really want it to express a more dreamy, sparkling, otherworldly place rather than a landscape that exists in the real world, but I specifically included a foreign country name to avoid the Asian style.

Now, are you ready? The wonderful image the AI gave me is coming right up!

Total defeat.

Why are there kimonos, Japanese-style castles, and cherry blossoms!
