It's not just about writing! Behind-the-scenes of the super fun and relaxed 'note Operation Challenge Club' event

I'm Natsume Yamaguchi, a web writer and the organizer of the note Operation Challenge Club.

I went from being an ordinary housewife to an independent freelance writer, and now I'm able to manage communities and sell content.

Today, I'd like to talk about a break for hardworking moms! It's about our summer vacation event for the note Operation Challenge Club, the 'Summer Vacation Mom's Appreciation Party'.

Summer vacation is almost over! We held an early 'Appreciation Party'

'I want to write on note, but I can't keep it up'
'How do I monetize it?'

I run the note membership 'note Operation Challenge Club' as a community for people who have these kinds of worries.

Usually, we hold regular seminars that help members improve their skills, such as how to write on note, Kindle publishing know-how, and business ideas.

But if that's all we do, it gets tiring, doesn't it?

So this time, I tried something a little different. I named it'Summer Vacation Mom's Appreciation Party'!

A wonderful time planned by our member, 'Banbi-san'

This lovely event was initiated not by me, but by our member,Banbi-san. Banbi-san, a mom with a child in their third year of junior high school, said she was quite exhausted from driving her child to club activities and preparing lunch during summer vacation.

I'm sure there are many other moms who have made it through summer vacation just like her.

Seven moms with children ranging from 1 year old to college age participated in this online meeting. It wasn't a seminar format, but a 'free talk session' where we could just talk freely.

The conversation never ends! Real, honest talk from moms

We started with self-introductions, but once we began talking, we couldn't stop!

'Things that tired us out during summer vacation'was a given, but we also dove into real, serious topics unique to the parenting generation, such as'taxes when you stop being a dependent'and'children's cram school fees and exam costs'.

Also, since we are community members, we exchanged business-oriented information like 'What's Kindle publishing like?'. I realized once again the value of this community—it's a closed space where we can safely discuss things we can't easily talk about in our daily lives.

It's not just about 'working hard.' Taking time to relax is also important

We usually set goals like 'Let's work hard and write on note!' or 'Let's aim for monetization!', but this time, it seemed like a great way for everyone to take a break.

I received so many happy comments from participants saying, 'That was fun!' and 'I feel refreshed!', and I truly felt that hosting it was the right decision.

When I wrote, 'The second one will be held when Banbi-san gets stressed out,' Banbi-san, who planned it, commented, 'Looks like we're holding the next one soon too!'

And it seems the person who planned it had the most fun of all.

'I want to start something, but I'm nervous doing it alone'
'I want to talk to people in similar situations'
