[Monthly Report] December 2025 Web Writer Natsume Yamaguchi Work Summary

Hello!
I am Natsume Yamaguchi, a web writer and head of the note Operation Challenge Club.

I went from being an ordinary housewife to an independent freelance writer, and I am now able to manage communities and sell content.

Time flies, and today is December 31st!
With a few exceptions, my work is wrapped up.
While watching Kohaku, I would like to look back on my work for December and the year 2025.

Work Content

In terms of income ratio, the proportion of "Writer: Other" was 2:1, just like last month. Here is the breakdown.

1. Article Creation

I haven't been doing much sales outreach, so it's on the lower side.

SEO articles: 7 (toB)
note management: 20
Website blog: 1

I wasn't that busy.

Since a large project has finished, I have some extra resources for January.
I will do my best to acquire new work!

I was approached by an engineer, and we decided to hold a workshop to solve WordPress issues. We are currently in the middle of planning.

Regarding Networking Events, Study Sessions, and Meetings

I count the number of Zoom calls every month, so I counted them for this month as well.

Study sessions: 10
Meetings: 23
1-on-1s: 8
Seminars held: 11
Business networking events: 11
Coaching/Group consulting: 1
Notion implementation, etc.: 5
Total: 69

With 70 in August, 66 in September, 78 in October, 59 in November, and now 69... it was a stable number of Zoom calls.

And this month, I did a Live session with Kuromega-san again.
The theme this time was note x Kindle!

We usually use Stand.fm, but this time we used X Spaces. It was as fun and informative as always.

You can listen to it here, so please feel free to check it out!👇

Kuromega-san is planning to publish a Kindle book in January, and I am planning to publish one in March. In my case, I am thinking of making it a 2nd-anniversary publication for the note Operation Challenge Club, and the members are already writing the manuscript for me.

I have commissioned 10 people on the theme of 'How writing on note changed my life,' and wonderful articles are arriving one after another.

This will be the final collaboration live stream with Kuromega-san. Thank you very much!

Summary of this year

It was an unexpected start in January when I was appointed as the Secretary General of the Ai no Chikara branch of the Needs Match business networking group. I attended 3 to 8 business networking meetings every month and interacted with new people.

I started with zero Facebook friends, but ended up connecting with 450 people.

By the way, Needs Match has a culture of creating front-end and back-end products. Focusing on note, I created front-end and back-end products and held front-end seminars three times a month. About 80 people took my 90-minute, 3,000-yen course.

And my back-end product is note operation agency services. I was able to sign contracts with 5 companies and have been managing their accounts for six months to a year.

In July, I also experienced speaking at an in-person seminar, and I think it was a year where I was able to improve my skills as an instructor.

Apart from business networking meetings, I run a note membership called 'note Operation Challenge Club.' As of December, 46 people are members.

I hold two original seminars and tea parties every month. I have been supporting members in achieving their first results.

For those who only want to take the seminars, they are sold for 500 yen each, so please feel free to use them. The summary magazine contains 12 seminars and is a one-time purchase for 1,980 yen, which is a great deal!

And another challenge is Udemy.

While learning through the course and being pushed hard by the instructor, I released it in September. In October, it was adopted by Udemy Business, and currently 500 people are taking it.

In addition, collaborations with people I met at business networking meetings have increased. One of them is Okawa-san's PR Writers Cafe. I am participating as a planning collaborator and facilitator.

Furthermore, I debuted as an instructor for 4-Type Behavioral Psychology. In 2026, I plan to enter companies as an instructor when they implement it.

Furthermore (there's more!), I am planning a rebranding course with a designer, a WordPress relearning course with an engineer, and I am also planning to collaborate with a subsidy consultant.

Since there are still many 'plans,' I would like to work on them as a solid business throughout 2026.

Sales

When I filed my business opening notification, my husband said, 'Wouldn't it be good if you could earn 5 million yen?', and I kept that in mind as a goal, and this year I achieved 5 million yen in sales.

Honestly, I feel embarrassed that it's only 5 million yen... My highest monthly sales were 1 million yen.

Since I started after 20 years as a full-time housewife, I think I'll praise myself for a job well done for now. (Because no matter how much I earn, I might still be dissatisfied.)

I will do my best to make next year even better!

2025 Summary

It was a year where I worked incredibly hard.
And even though I struggled, it was fun.

It was also a year where I realized once again that I love creating things.

Since I was a child, I have always been making something on my own, such as drawing pictures, reading books, embroidering, knitting, or baking cakes.

It was also a year where I discovered a side of myself that is a writer, yet not just a writer.

That includes Kindle, communities, courses, and Udemy.

And I also realized that I am surprisingly good at thinking of solutions.

I think it would be great if I could figure out how to reach a goal in the shortest time possible and turn that into a business!

It was a year where I combined the motivation of wanting to create and shape things with the ability to attract customers and earn money.

Next year, I want to go from being a sole proprietor to a business owner with multiple ventures. I'll do my best!

I will continue to work hard on note as well, so please look forward to 2026!
