Cats

Cats are a staple of breakwaters.

I've interacted with many cats over the years, but I'd like to introduce the cutest one I've ever met 🙄

Usually, there are no cats at all on this breakwater, but one autumn, a cat suddenly decided to make it its home 🙄

It was used to people, so it seemed like it might have been a pet, but since I can't speak cat, I'll never know (lol).

This cat was just so smart!

Whenever I parked my car and started getting my fishing gear ready, it would come over to greet me with a "meow" and watch over me quietly until I was finished 🥺

When I returned from fishing and took out the Ziploc bag with squid, it would come to look, but when I said, "This is my squid," it would just say "meow," sit down, and watch me quietly 🥺

When I asked, "If you're hungry, do you want some of my dinner?" it would say "meow," stand up, and follow me obediently to the car's cooler box 😍

It was just too cute! ❤️

After that, every time I went fishing, we continued to have similar interactions, and I was healed by its cute behavior every time 🥺

After a few fishing trips, while I was preparing to sleep in my car, the cat climbed in and made itself comfortable. I asked, "I'm about to close the door, are you staying inside? It's fine if you do, but you won't be able to move freely, so you'll be bored, you know?" It said "meow" and got out.

That night, I woke up to use the restroom, and after I finished and came back, it was still too early to get up, so I decided to go back to sleep.

After a while, I heard a "meow" a few times 🤔

At first, I was drifting in and out of sleep, wondering if it was just greeting other anglers, but the "meow" sounded so close that I sat up.

To my surprise, it was sitting right next to me! (lol)

I opened the door while asking, "When did you sneak in? It's fine if you stay, but you won't be able to get out until morning, okay?"

After thinking for a while, the cat said "meow" and lay down. I asked "I'm closing it now, okay?" three times, but it just said "meow" and stayed lying down, so I closed the door.

Then I fell asleep with the cat, and as soon as my alarm went off in the morning, the cat woke me up with a "meow" and saw me off until I went fishing 😍

Eventually, the fishing season ended, and in January, I stopped seeing the cat. Even while we couldn't meet, I would sometimes wonder, "It's snowing and cold, is that guy okay?" and spent the time until spring, and finally, spring arrived.

And so, I went back to the breakwater where the cat lives for the first time in a while!

I arrived and looked for the cat, but I couldn't find it😭 I thought I'd see it on the way back, but in the end, I didn't.

After that, I didn't see it at all, and when I asked other anglers, they said they hadn't seen it either😭 It was only a four-month interaction, but it was a truly adorable little thing!

I hope it's doing well somewhere🥺 Just as I was thinking that,

"Meow"

I felt like I heard a cry from somewhere.
