Wait, hold on. That is not normal.
I just learned a shocking fact
This is sudden, but did you all know?
Air conditioning technicians carry outdoor units and climb ladders.
............What?
No, wait a second.
I want you to think about this calmly.
The outdoor unit is that big thing sitting outside, right?

They carry that and climb a ladder?
When I first found out, I was genuinely taken aback 😇
How heavy is an outdoor unit?
Just to explain, even a standard household outdoor unit can weigh close to 20–40kg.
In terms of rice, that's like two 20kg bags.
They carry that on their shoulders and climb up a ladder where their footing is unstable.

Wait a minute, is that even possible!? 😭
Plus, ladder rungs are narrow, and your footing is always wobbling, right?
What kind of muscle strength does it take to carry something that's heavy and exhausting even on flat ground in that situation? 😂
When I asked my husband, he said, "Huh? That's normal."
Shocked, I asked my husband, "Is this actually possible!? Isn't that amazing!?"
The response I got was—
"Huh? That's normal."
............Normal!?
When I asked my younger brother, he also said, "That's normal" 😂
In the world of air conditioning technicians, apparently this is "normal."
But as a representative of the general public, I want to say this loudly:
It is seriously not normal at all.
By general standards, isn't this already in the realm of athletes? 😂
Carrying heavy loads, sense of balance, tolerance for heights.
This is something that requires all three.
How my understanding of craftsmen has deepened
Until I became the wife of an air conditioning technician, I just thought of AC installation as
"someone comes to install it" 😂
But in reality, these craftsmen are the ultimate pros at physical labor.
They carry heavy things, squeeze into tight spaces, and climb to high places.
(Come to think of it, my husband said the other day he was stuck between two walls 😂)
Next time I ask for AC installation, I'm sure my perspective will change.
"This person is someone who can climb a ladder while carrying an outdoor unit" 😂
My feeling of gratitude has increased tenfold compared to before.
I'll have my husband and brother keep working as usual 🫡
Anyway, the next post is on Saturday! (I sometimes slack off 😭)
Crude oil is unstable, and darkness is slowly creeping into construction sites.
There's nothing we can do, but let's hang in there together, all you craftsmen!!
See you in the next article!
