How to decide on a study abroad/working holiday location!!
Hello, I'm risu🐿️. I will introduce how to decide,
from someone who has experienced study abroad and working holidays in two countries. Even if you have made up your mind to go, many people are sure to be confused about choosing a country!
The atmosphere is completely different depending on the city you go to. Let's decide so you don't have any regrets.
I will explain in detail!!!!

1. Decide based on your purpose

⚫︎ Want to save money, want to earn money
→ Narrow it down to countries where you can do a working holiday
→ It is easier to earn money in countries with a tipping system (such as Canada)
→ Wages are higher and there are more jobs in cities than in the countryside
→ You cannot go on a working holiday if you are over 30
→ In Dubai, you can work part-time regardless of age
⚫︎ Want to learn English seriously
→ There are fewer Japanese people in the countryside than in the city
→ Look at the quality of the language school
→ Search from the programs you want to learn (medical English, business, education, management, etc...)
⚫︎ To take a break from work
→ A city where you can just enjoy yourself
→ Are there many people of the same age? (Honestly, it's tough for a working adult to enter a place full of college students)
→ Is it easy to travel to various cities and countries? (I want to travel a lot during my long vacation)
Malta is an English-speaking country and is in the EU, so it's easy to go to other EU countries
2. Decide based on climate, public safety, and cost of living

⚫︎ Climate
→ Cold regions are a no-go, I hate places with a lot of rain (I recommend deciding based on what you don't want)
Personally, I recommend an environment or climate you can't experience in your whole life!
You're not going to live there forever, so living in a freezing land as a life experience is also an option ;)
⚫︎ Public safety
→ This is especially important for women. Check online or ask people who actually live there.
→ Can you eat food safely, can you walk outside at night
⚫︎ Cost of living
→ Can you live in an expensive country like NY?
→ If you don't have money, South Korea, the Philippines, etc. are recommended
3. Go on a trip once to decide

⚫︎ If you have time and money, try going on a trip once.
⚫︎ If you have a favorite country you've visited once, decide from there
→ If you have been there once, you know the public safety, cost of living, etc., and it is easy to imagine life there
4. For those who have no particular preference

⚫︎First, let's think about what you want to do
→ Master something you love
→ Make foreign friends
→ Live abroad
→ Try living a life like in your favorite movies or dramas
→ Escape from reality
→ Learn multiple languages
→ Travel
⚫︎If you can't think of anything you want to do at all
→ Go to the countryside if you want to relax
→ Go to the city center if you are looking for excitement
Finally
If you have narrowed it down to two countries or two cities and cannot decide, try thinking about the disadvantages.Studying abroad is not all good things. In fact, there are more difficult things.DisadvantagesI recommend thinking about it in terms of.
How was it?
I hope this was helpful in deciding on a country or city, even if just a little. No matter which place you choose, it will definitely be fun.
Please enjoy your study abroad to the fullest!!!!!
