The story of how I accidentally created a buzzword

This time, I will talk about the theme of
“Mindset when you are not seeing results.”

Whether it is studying, work,
sports, or business,
there are always periods where you do not see results or
periods where your growth plateaus.

At such times,
if you get impatient or frustrated,
you will become unable to make
the right decisions or take the right actions.

All you can do is
stay calm and keep building on what you need to do right now;
that is really all there is to it.

“No, that is difficult!”
“If I could do that, I wouldn't be struggling!”

I have created some words to gently soothe the feelings of people who say that,
so I will present them to you ^^

I accidentally created a buzzword

I had been immersing myself in the world of Threads.

Since it was a new account,
my impressions were not growing at all.

When I looked at the posts flowing by,

“Threads is amazing!”
“I got a massive buzz with one post!”
“The reach of Threads is crazy”
“Threads is a breeze”

things like that were appearing.

Huh?

That is what I was thinking.

Even though I posted 10 times every day for two weeks,
the number of views only reached about “10”...

There were even people saying, “I got a massive buzz with my first post~,”
which made me super impatient and
super annoyed (lol).

“Are you kidding me!!!
Why is my post
only getting 10 views!!!

lol

Not a shred of composure.
It is just the worst, right? (lol)

So, the night before last (10/28),
with a lot of sarcasm,
I made this post and went to bed.

When I woke up in the morning, the view count had exceeded 1,000, and
I had a ton of likes and comments.

After that, the views, likes, and comments kept increasing, and
24 hours after posting,
the view count was 5,000, with 300 likes,
and I also received many comments and quote posts.

It might not be what you'd call "going viral"
and these numbers probably aren't a big deal,
but for someone like me who is bad at social media,
it was incredibly impressive,
and a surprising event.

What's more, I received
so many incredibly happy comments.

• Nagiru!!! I laughed so hard

• It looks like 'Nagiru' is going to go viral!

• I'm glad I encountered 'Nagiru' and got to 'Nagi' (calm down) lol

• Nagiru! What a great word! I'm going to use it!

• You have a wonderful sense for words!

• I like the sound of this even more than 'going viral' ^^

and so on.

Yesterday, I spent almost the entire day
replying to comments (lol).

My Threads, which had been in a completely calm state,
had so much wind blown into it from just one post...

I received many comments saying they liked it,
but among them, there were
also these unexpected reactions.

• I have a feeling this will catch on! You've created a new word!

• I really want 'Nagiru' to become popular~

• I want to see the beginning of a trend

• If it goes super viral, couldn't it be chosen for the Buzzword Awards?

• I wish it would become a buzzword originating from Threads

Wow! I also received many voices saying,
'I wish it would become popular!'.

Furthermore, people immediately started
using it in their own posts,
and somehow, a little movement
was born ^^

I had absolutely no intention of that happening,
but everyone liked it,
and started using it...
I was incredibly happy.

The spirit of "Nagiru" can be applied to anything

Well, in the midst of all that,
my post crossed the ocean,
and a "meditation trainer" in America
made a post like this.

I thought this interpretation was absolutely wonderful.

At first, I said "Nagiru"
feeling like I was just grumbling
on Threads, but
it seems many people
received it as
a positive word.

By describing a state where nothing is going well
as a "calm" (nagi),
you can maintain your composure,,
and laugh it off and enjoy it,they said.

Whether it's studying, work,
sports, or business,
there are always times when you don't see results
or growth hits a plateau.

At times like that, if you get impatient
or frustrated,
you become unable to make
the right decisions or take the right actions.

Then, when the wind finally blows,
you won't be able to catch it properly.

Enjoying the calm with composure,
and waiting for the wind to blow
while preparing thoroughly
is very important, isn't it.

If you can laugh off a state where you aren't seeing results
as "being in a state of Nagiru"
and enjoy it,
I think you'll be able to
rejoice in and enjoy the wind
when it eventually blows.

So, with that said,
though I'm tooting my own horn,
I think it's actually
a pretty good word (lol)
