Tender Tongue Stew
The venue for the group date has a great atmosphere, with the warmth of wood and soft lighting.
Apparently, this is a famous Western-style restaurant.
Everyone seems nervous, their expressions stiff, and it's making me nervous too.
Sitting in front of me is a cute woman with a ponytail.
She's my type, but I can't find the courage to talk to her.
As I'm wondering what to do, a plate is placed on the table.
On the plate is a brown liquid, with a solid chunk of meat sitting right in the middle!
"This is our signature tongue stew. Please enjoy it while it's hot."
The chef, who presumably made the tongue stew, said with a smile.
For now, I'll eat it to calm my nerves.
I cut the tongue with my fork and put it in my mouth.
It's incredibly tender, and the flavor spreads with every bite.
Mmm... this is delicious...
"Hehe, you have a lovely smile."
The woman I was interested in sitting across from me spoke to me, and this became the start of our conversation.
Looking around, everyone who ate the tongue stew had a beaming smile on their face.
I participated in Tarahakani-san's project.
