Misunderstood Track and Field

The track and field tournament began based on a misunderstanding.
A bizarre scene is unfolding at the venue.
I never expected the proposal I sent as a joke to actually be accepted.
All the track and field events being held this time are brand new.
The biggest draw is that anyone can participate, regardless of whether they are a pro or an amateur.

Needle Throwing.
Instead of a javelin, this event involves throwing a sewing needle to see how far it can go.
The needles are so small that the judges took a long time to find them.

Wall Vaulting.
An event where you compete to see how high a defensive wall you can jump over.
Apparently, a thief is secretly participating.
I mean, catch them right now!

100m Grass.
It's just 100 meters of grass growing; it's not even a sport.
Don't just grow grass.

Curry Relay.
An event where four runners pass a plate of curry instead of a baton.
If you spill it, you are immediately disqualified.

It sounds interesting in the description, but when you actually try it, it's incredibly dull and didn't get any excitement at all.
...Don't accept something like this.
