【Major QOL Boost】 The Top 5 Books That Changed My Life
This is a bit sudden, but do you have a habit of reading books?
When I was a student, I had no habit of reading at all and spent my days being lazy, haha.
After I started job hunting,
"Oh no! I need to improve myself! I need to read books!"
I thought to myself, and started reading.
There were so many books I found interesting that I still have the habit of reading today.
So, this time, I will introduce the 5 books that changed my life in a ranking format.
5th Place
5th place is
"How to Spend Your Time to Make Life Fulfilling: Methods Taught by a UCLA MBA Professor to Stop Being 'Always Chasing Time'"
.
What left a particularly strong impression on me from this book is
the point that having too much free time leads to a decrease in happiness.
It's true that if you play games all day, it's fun in the moment, but when you look back on it later,
I often think,
"What am I doing with my life..."
which happens quite often, haha.

I believe how you spend your time is directly linked to your happiness in life.
It is one of the books that changed my life.
4th Place
The 4th place is "The Hungry Brain".
This book introduces ways to control your appetite.
To summarize it extremely briefly,
"To suppress your appetite, eat protein and dietary fiber!"
is what it felt like.
It is true that even when I ate cup ramen in the middle of the night,
"It's not enough at all!"
I sometimes felt that way, so since reading this book, I have been drinking protein before going to bed.
This is a highly recommended book for those struggling with dieting.
3rd place
The 3rd place is "The Practice of Letting Go: Making Choices Without Wasting Energy".
This book explains minimalism.
I have always been bad at tidying up and lived in a messy room, so
since reading this book, I have been able to keep my room clean.
In particular, I decluttered almost all of my clothes,
and I bought several of the same UNIQLO Airism Cotton Oversized T-shirts and have been wearing them on rotation ever since.
A friend said to me, "Are you Steve Jobs or something?" lol
This is a must-read book, as it covers not only how to declutter your belongings but also the fascinating mindset of a minimalist.
Also, this book and the one ranked second can currently be read for free if you sign up for Amazon's unlimited reading service, Kindle Unlimited.
First-time users can read books with a 30-day free trial.
2nd Place
The 2nd place book is
“Muscle Training is the Ultimate Solution: The Super-Scientific Reasons Why Muscles Change Your Life”.
It is exactly as the title says.
Indeed, muscles...! Muscle training solves everything...!
According to this book, muscle training is expected to have various effects such as improved mental health, anti-aging, diet effects, and becoming more attractive.
It is not just a discussion based on willpower, but content based on scientific evidence, so it is credible.
I also started going to the gym after reading this book, and I feel that my life has taken a major turn for the better.
It is very easy to read, so I recommend this book even to those who do not have a habit of reading.
1st Place
The 1st place book is “Smartphone Brain”.
This book explains based on scientific evidence why we become so obsessed with our smartphones.
For example, various social media platforms like Twitter and YouTube are intentionally designed to make us addicted.
This is because the more we rely on social media and spend long hours looking at our smartphones, the more advertising revenue the operators earn.
For someone like me who has had a smartphone since junior high school and has walked through life with it, this content was far too shocking...
After reading this book, I started to rethink how I interact with my smartphone.
I have summarized my own methods for breaking free from smartphone addiction on the page below.
This is a book I highly recommend for modern people living in a smartphone-driven society.
In conclusion
In this post, I introduced 5 of my recommended books.
If you have any books you recommend, please let me know in the comments!
