Cherry Blossoms Dancing in a Summer Art Museum
As the tortoise was quietly immersed in the world of a story at a library reading desk, a rabbit suddenly appeared with a staggering gait.
She sat down powerlessly in the chair next to the tortoise, remaining speechless. In the cool air of the library, the heat radiating from the rabbit's entire body spread softly, as if creeping in.
The tortoise asked, "Are you okay?" while gently offering her a cold bottle of mineral water.
"It looks like you need a lot of cooling down," the tortoise muttered, then took her hand and hopped onto a train.
Getting off the train at Nakameguro Station, the two walked past the Meguro River toward the Go Sakura Museum's "Cool - Contemporary Japanese Painting Exhibition for Enjoying Summer."
Inside the museum, cool-looking morning glories and young bamboo were on display, and the chilly air gently enveloped their flushed bodies.
The rabbit tried hard to smile, but there was an awkwardness to it. "It's still hot after all," she muttered.
The tortoise quickly changed locations. Ahead, the snow-capped Matterhorn and the cool beech forests of the Shirakami Mountains were painted in silence.
"How about this?" the tortoise asked, checking on the rabbit, and she finally regained her natural smile. "I'm okay, it's getting cooler," she replied in a calm voice.
Breathing a sigh of relief, the tortoise held the rabbit's hand firmly and headed to the second floor. At that moment, cherry blossoms in full bloom captivated them. The cherry petals were falling quietly and gracefully.
"The nearby Meguro River is a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing, but even when the cherry blossoms aren't in bloom, you can enjoy them anytime at this museum," the tortoise said quietly.
The rabbit nodded quietly, thinking about the season when cherry blossoms bloom. "This year's cherry blossom viewing was still cold, wasn't it?" she whispered.
Forgetting the heat outside, the two were drawn into the paintings and remained captivated by the beauty of the cherry blossoms for a long time.
