Bring more Niigata ingredients into your home! We'll introduce some arrangement recipes using SUZU's original items.
Hello! This is Koreeda from The SUZUTIMES editorial department.
This time, I'd like to introduce some arrangement recipes created by our staff that were previously published on our website.
Although these are recipes using our original items, they are ideas that can also be substituted with seasonings you have at home or items that are easily available, so I hope they serve as inspiration for your home cooking!
Hello! I'm Kobayashi, a staff member at SUZUDELI.
Since this is my first time appearing here, I'd like to start by introducing SUZUDELI!

SUZUDELI is located inside a large shopping mall in Nagaoka, and it is a store visited by customers of a wide range of ages.
The shop celebrated its 10th anniversary last June, and what has been the store's signature since it first opened are the handmade deli items made with plenty of Niigata vegetables. More than 10 varieties are lined up in the showcase every day!

The nutritious deli items, which mainly use seasonal vegetables, are available for both eat-in and takeout, and recently, more and more customers are enjoying the taste of SUZUDELI at home or on the go.
Also, we hold vegetable events on the third Wednesday of every month, and limited-time products also appear... It's a point of pride that you can have delicious experiences that can only be tasted at SUZUDELI.Our official Instagram also introduces what's happening at the store, so please check it out!

Furthermore, SUZUDELI also has a well-stocked retail corner, and many of the retail products displayed in the store are also used in SUZUDELI's deli items.
The miso and dashi used in our miso soup, the salt koji used for marinating meat and vegetables, and the fruit syrup used in dressings for side dishes, etc... This time, I would like to introduce such popular SUZUDELI products and arrangement recipes using them!
The first thing I'd like to introduce is a seasoning that is indispensable for SUZU's classic product, 'Kuruma-fu (wheel gluten) Tare-katsu'.
SHO SUZUKI NIIGATA Niigata Umami Tare-katsu Sauce

As the name suggests, this is a product that packs the deliciousness of the tare-katsu sauce, which can be called the deciding factor of the taste, into a bottle.
The 'Kuruma-fu Tare-katsu' is also very popular with customers at SUZUDELI, and it is an item that we have finally commercialized because we receive comments like, 'I came here because the tare-katsu is delicious!' and 'I came to buy some for my family today!'

When I tried using it at home right away, it was well-received by my children, who said, 'The sauce is sweet and salty and delicious!'
Not only as a sauce for tare-katsu, but it alsoperfectly seasons everyday stir-fries and meat dishes when cooked together and is delicious!
Since the soy sauce-based sauce also contains sugar, ginger juice, and garlic, the flavor is set with just this and it's great that you can easily make a delicious dish.
When I was talking with my children about whether it could be arranged for something other than a side dish, they said, 'It seems like it would go well with something sweet!' and 'It would be interesting to combine it with something that isn't a side dish!'... So, we decided to try arranging it with things we had at home, saying, 'Then, shall we try pouring it over vanilla ice cream?'
And this is what we completed!
Niigata French Toast

<Easy Recipe>
1. Soak the Kuruma-fu in an egg mixture made by combining beaten eggs with soy milk (milk is also fine).
2. Fry in a frying pan with melted butter until it reaches your desired level of browning.
3. Serve the Kuruma-fu on a plate and top with vanilla ice cream.
(You can also add your favorite fruit! By the way, what I decorated in the center is Ukihoshi, a traditional Niigata confection. This is also a masterpiece of Niigata that I would like to recommend!)
4. Pour the Tare-katsu sauce in your desired amount.
It looks cute, and the taste is... "Super delicious!!"
A Niigata-style sweet has been created where the sweet and salty sauce of the Tare-katsu is a perfect match for vanilla ice cream!!
A new discovery that it goes well not only with side dishes but also with sweets!
This is a product I would like to recommend to many people, as just having one bottle expands the range of your recipes.
The next product we will introduce is this.
Vegan Custard from the Town of Brewing

This is a limited-time product that uses precious sake lees from Yoshinogawa, a long-established sake brewery representing Niigata. While it has a strong impression of being a sweet, it is actually a versatile item that can also be used as a seasoning!
Just as the name "vegan" suggests,it contains no eggs, wheat flour, or dairy ingredients. By combining sake lees and soy milk, it expressesa richness and smooth mouthfeel like custard cream.

To enjoy this vegan custard simply, we recommend spreading it on bread! You can feel the flavor of the sake lees within the creamy taste, and it is very delicious. Of course, eating it as is is also great. If you pair it with sake, you can also enjoy it as a sophisticated snack.
That said, the flavor of the sake lees seemed a bit strong for the children.
Thinking I wanted to arrange it to be a little easier to eat, I tried combining it with various seasonings and discovered... that it goes well with commercially available yakiniku sauce!!
It transformed into a sauce that goes well with side dishes while still retaining the moderate flavor of the sake lees!!
Here is the side dish I made!
Stir-fried Pork and Carrots with Egg

<Easy Recipe>
1. Mix the yakiniku sauce and vegan custard in advance to your preferred taste.
2. Stir-fry the pork and carrots cut into bite-sized pieces, and when cooked through, add the mixed sauce.
3. Once the sauce is coated over everything, add the beaten egg and stir-fry until the egg reaches your desired firmness.
Believe it or not, that's it! It's finished in no time!
The nutritional value of sake lees has been re-attracting attention in recent years. While I wanted to give the power of fermented foods to my children, it was difficult to incorporate because it had a strong quirk or felt a bit old-fashioned, but it turned into a dish that is very satisfying in both ease of eating and volume!
Like the Tare-katsu sauce, vegan custard is also a seasoning that can be used in many ways. Above all, it is truly delicious and a new sensation!
This is an original item I am proud of that I would love for you to pick up and taste!
Well, this time we introduced arrangement recipes for two dishes using two products in somewhat unexpected ways!
I would be happy if this could be an opportunity for you to become even a little interested in Niigata ingredients and SUZU items.
