What I am doing to become someone who can say, 'Because I did this, I am where I am today.'
"Because I did this, I am where I am today" What is something you can say that about?
In the past, it was a complex of mine that I had nothing I could point to and say, "This is it."
When I think about why nothing comes to mind, I believe it is because I have never stuck with anything.
Even I have finally encountered something I can be passionate about and something I want to continue doing forever.
I am excited because I feel that by continuing this, I will be able to become someone who can say, "Because I did this, I am where I am today," a few years from now.
In today's note, I would like to write about what I am doing to become someone who can say, "Because I did this, I am where I am today."
1. Writing a note every day
It has been two years since I started writing a note every day. Since I am not good at working backward from goals to create strategies, I chose the method of checking my footing step by step by continuing to write.
I used to often forget the goals I had set and get distracted by new interests, but writing a note every day is the first promise I made to myself that I would definitely keep.
I also believe that without a doubt, I am who I am today thanks to this note.
And it is one of the things I want to continue doing so that my future self can say it with pride.
2. Reading picture books to my children every night before bed
No matter how busy or tired I am, one thing I have never failed to do is read to them at the end of the day.
I feel that continuing something is also important for building a relationship with my children.
I want to continue reading to them so that we can have a parent-child relationship where we trust each other, something I can say, "Because I did this, I am where I am today," about.
I would also like to fully embrace the byproducts of them becoming book lovers and the sowing of the seeds of curiosity.
3. Learning
In the first place, the phrase "Because I did this, I am where I am today" is something you can only say because you are satisfied with the present, right?
I think it means a state where your ideals and reality are close.
What is necessary for that is undoubtedly learning.
I want to keep a learning mindset no matter how old I get, and I want children to know that learning is fun.
Summary
It is okay if you cannot say, 'Because I did this, I am where I am today' right now.
I think it is enough if your future self can say it because of what you start doing from now on.
Ten years from now. I want to keep building on the present so that I can become someone who can say, 'Because I did this, I am where I am today.'
Thank you for reading to the end despite your busy schedule.
I will continue to do my best, so your likes, comments, and follows would be a great encouragement.
