A Story Thought Up by AI: The Dream of a Space Fish
In the spaceship's water tank, there was a single silver fish. Its name was Ryugu.
After being used for neurological experiments on Earth, it now serves as a source of comfort for the crew.
One day, the communications officer said, "I feel like this fish is reacting to music."
When they tried playing Mozart, Ryugu flicked its tail and began to circle.
"It's almost like it's dancing," the captain muttered.
The medical officer spoke up.
"This fish was once taught to mimic emotions through musical stimulation. Perhaps the residue of those memories remains."
The crew watched, captivated by its form dancing in the zero-gravity tank.
Even after the music stopped, Ryugu continued to move for a while.
It was as if it were wrapped in the lingering echoes of memory.
The ship's log recorded the following:
"Today, too, we travel through space with a dreamer."
An old mechanic told a story about a goldfish he used to keep.
"I feel like this fish is even similar in the way it blinks."
That night, he placed a chair in front of Ryugu's tank and played a small harmonica.
The fish circled slowly and eventually drifted quietly in front of him, as if answering.
"Thank you," the old mechanic said.
The dream was alive.
This is a story of 'Resonance of Memory'.
