[Setagaya Ward] The homemade buttered toast is too artistic
After getting off at Sakurajosui Station on the Keio Line and walking along the Koshu Kaido for about two minutes, I saw the entrance to the cafe I had learned about in magazines and books.

There are many items from the entrance that tickle your heart.
The smell of baking bread drifts outside the shop as well.

When I opened the door, Kirinji's song "Aliens" from their album "3" was playing in the shop.
A cafe playing "Aliens" is definitely a good cafe.
Therefore, this must be a good cafe.

The homemade buttered toast is too artistic.

Although the ham sandwich I was aiming for was already sold out, I ordered the homemade buttered toast that was recommended in the 'must-order' zone next to the register.

This buttered toast is truly artistic!
The depth of the cuts is beautifully even, and the layers where the butter has soaked in are also even...
This is a simple dish called buttered toast packed with delicate technique.

The crust is toasted to a crisp, and the butter has soaked into the fluffy, dense dough. It has a gentle sweetness and a subtle saltiness.
Because the bread is thick, the contrast in texture between the outside and the inside is even more enjoyable.

The coffee is a bright, light-roast type (I like it).
The coffee that day was from Ethiopia.
It was a light roast with acidic notes, but it was fruity and bright, and I think it's the type that even people who don't like acidity would enjoy. (Personally, I like light-roast acidic coffee anyway.)
It had a characteristic sweet acidity, like strawberries or muscat grapes, among the citrus notes.

The cafe service has ended, and there are only two seats and standing room inside.
It seems they focus mainly on takeout and selling coffee beans, but takeout customers were visiting one after another, having a light chat with the owner, and leaving with their coffee in hand.
It was somehow heartwarming; I wish it were near my house.
Come to think of it, they say that until 2020, their sandwiches using homemade ham and bread were also well-regarded. I'd love to eat them if they ever make a comeback.
