Today is the closing ceremony at my son's school.
Of course, since he refuses to go to school, he didn't go himself, but I went alone to pick up the belongings left there.

A quiet school building with no students around.

I also came for the entrance orientation for my daughter, who is about to enter elementary school, and the other day I finished gathering all the gym clothes and tools needed for enrollment, and even wrote her name on all the marbles and math cards.

Even though my son has declared he won't go next year either... he might suddenly say he wants to go. I bought new gym clothes and indoor shoes that fit him now. I also bought a recorder and a calligraphy set, and I picked them all up today.

But, coming here, there is a possibility that both my children might go to a different school.
Since they aren't attending anyway, and there's a low chance they will, there's no point in keeping their spots at this public school. Let's steer the ship in the direction they feel like going, even if it's just a little.

They might not use all the school supplies I bought, but that's okay.
I don't mind that at all (lol).

I do wonder how my daughter feels, young as she is. But I don't want to ask too much and cause her to feel conflicted, so I don't ask much.

But she does understand that she won't be going to the school her brother attended.

She also seems to understand that it's a different school from her close friends.

You were looking forward to it so, so much, and you love my daughter so much. We all imagined that you would be going to school together.
