5 Things I Accomplished in 2024

1. Started note & continued daily posting

I've been posting every day, one way or another.
There were days when I didn't feel like writing, but most days I felt like I wanted to write something. Even when I didn't have a topic, the desire to write was strong, and there were days I struggled and groaned while writing.

The word count, content, and quality vary, but that's okay. I'm only human. That's the attitude I've adopted to keep writing.

2. Was able to attend a return-to-work support program

At the beginning of this year, I honestly didn't know if I could return to work. That's because I saw no signs of my depression improving. As the medication started to work little by little and I found note and began to settle down, the return-to-work program started.
Unfortunately, it seems it was too early, and I had to give up halfway through. However, I feel like I was able to confirm what I need for my return.

I felt down after dropping out of the program, but I am starting to regain my energy. I hope I can return to work next year.

3. Became able to be there for my children

In the past, I was so overwhelmed with myself that I couldn't listen to my children. I often hurt them with harsh words. I hated myself for taking my frustration out on my children.
This year, perhaps because I've become able to see myself from a broader perspective, I feel like I've become able to be there for my children. I think it's also because they've grown. But more than that, I've become more attentive to them.

The time I can spend with my children isn't that long. So, I've started to think that I want to cherish the time we have.

4. Slightly improved my sense of food presentation

My sense of food presentation is disastrous. But this year, partly because I wrote articles about cooking on note, I feel like my presentation skills have improved just a little bit. It's only by my own standards, though. Even if I'm not good at it, I want to improve little by little.By the way, I think the photo of the fried chicken I posted on X is my best presentation of the year.

5. Learned to like myself a little more

As I touched on in point 3, I have low self-esteem and lack confidence. My lack of confidence manifests in my actions, making me lash out at those around me or become easily hurt. This year, I've started to be able to acknowledge myself little by little. Perhaps it's thanks to writing on note and interacting with others. Thanks to learning from and being encouraged by kind friends, I am starting to regain myself.Even now, when I notice it, my negative self appears in my heart. But the speed at which I recover after feeling down has definitely gotten faster. I hope to continue living forward without dwelling on failures.

That was a quick look back.
Today is the last day I will be updating articles this year.

I will continue to post short thoughts, but I won't be able to post a proper article until the new year begins.Thank you for all your hard work this past year.I hope you all have a relaxing time.Infectious diseases are going around, so please take care of your health.

Thank you so much for everything.

Have a happy new year.
